Great rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and tempura, and the sake flight was delicious. Cozy atmosphere, and the service was lovely.

*** we moved to Seattle in 2021 and we still come to Vancouver just to have sushi here. We've eaten sushi in numerous countries and this place is still me favorite
Un 2017 my husband and I moved from New West to Ontario and I have been missing this place like crazy ever since.
We travel a lot so I've had sushi in Vancouver, Toronto, London Ontario, Florida, California, Las Vegas, Seattle, New Orleans, Disneyland and Disney world and I have never, NEVER had sushi as good or as fresh as Akari. We recently moved to Seattle and as soon as I can I will be coming to eat everything on their menu. I have never had sushi so fresh that the tobiko pops in your mouth and their spicy sauce is world class. If you haven't eaten here yet be prepared to have all other sushi blown away.

Food was fire! Our first time here and we will definitely come back. The lunch bentos were cheap for students like me.

I ordered a sashimi bento, but it didn’t feel worth the $23.10. The karaage had a hard outer layer with too much batter, the garnish on the sashimi wasn’t very fresh, and the tempura coating was soft. Overall, the meal felt quite ordinary and expensive. Also, the lady staff kept confirming my order in Japanese, even though I didn’t use Japanese when ordering.

I tried tonkatsu, and the tonkatsu itself is very big and crispy. The only downside is that tonkatsu meat is really dry.

We went to eat together again today, but there was the same server, and she acted rudely. I really can't go and eat here again

good food
I absolutely love Akari, have been coming here for years now. The quality is always top notch and the service is impeccable. Everyone is so polite, we accidentally ordered the Teriyaki Don instead of the Teriyaki on the platter with veg and they brought us a side of sautéed veggies a few minutes later. Was so thoughtful and made our evening. We also tried the sake flight tonight and the green tea sake was so delicious. 10/10 recommend.

We went to Akari for dinner after a long time. The old server was still rude to us. Last time,I remember she brought us the wrong sushi roll and instead of trying to apologize, she brought us a note and repeated that we were wrong. I was very disappointed in her. Today, she had a similar attitude.
Great spot to eat we really.liked it

I will never go there again!! 2nd time I have been completely ignored and sat there for 8 minutes waiting for someone to come back and take my order. There was only 4 other customers. Last time I sat over 10 minutes and there was same amount of people. And, they just walk right by like your not even there. 50 years in the hospitality business and as a manager and I have to say their service is crap
