Cafe De Gourmet Delights & Catering Ltd

I went here to get lunch while working in Ladner one day.
I ordered a sandwich and told the person taking my order and making the sandwich I’m allergic to dairy. I also asked for gluten free bread (a preference, not an allergy, which I told them).
They seemingly had no knowledge of their ingredients and actually had to bring out their jar of mayo for me to read to see if it had dairy.
The person then asked me if I wanted cheese on my sandwich… I obviously said no.
It wasn’t until after I was back at my work site and took my sandwich out of the wrapping that I realized the gluten free bread they substituted was in fact cheese bread.
I’m not sure how they didn’t catch this after I mentioned at least twice that I’m allergic to dairy.
Needless to say I was incredibly disappointed to not have a lunch that day, and I would not be going back as it seems they are unable to accommodate dietary restrictions.

If you like soggy a grilled sandwich - then enjoy, here it's microwaved and grilled, there's nothing gourmet about this place.

Love the homemade feel of the food but seriously lacking in ingredients. My tuna melt had twice as much bread as both tuna and cheese combined, and the potato salad, while enjoyable in its simplicity, needed more flavour. At $10 for a sandwich I expect more food than a minuscule line of tuna and so little cheese I need to closely inspect the sandwich to make sure the cheese is even there.

Also it’s rude when businesses prompt me for a tip on the machine when I didn’t sit down at eat in the establishment. I came in, ordered, and left to eat elsewhere. No service was provided so why am I being prompted to tip? Knocking a star off the review for greedy tipping prompt.

great Chilli and cheese pasta salad ..nice litte coffee / tea shoppe. .sandwich s made to order ...great staff..and good beef barley soup

Everything I have tried at Cafe de Gourmet has been excellent. Generous portions of their baked goods, easily 5 stars!

Nice place to have breakfast, the ladies are very friendly and helpful, but here are a lot of options, great variety of coffee and hot beverages, baked goods salty and sweet, combo breakfast like sandwich and soup, the place is small but warm.

The food and baked goods were great. This place gets busy especially at lunch time, be prepared to wait - but the wait is worth it!

Had an iced coffee latte which was decent.

Loved the Ninimo Bars and they let me get free water ?

Whole sandwiches or half,your choice. Homemade flavors and care in every bite! Seating area available inside and outside. Catering options for the home or office party. Staff are wonderfully accommodating.

Nice cafe for a sandwich.

An authentic café with some of the best-baked goods in town. The individuals who work there are amicable and super hardworking. Their sandwiches, cookies and quiche and coffee are a must-try—just a wonderful experience all around every time a very traditional and classic café.

Great breakfast bagels. Very friendly.

Been coming here for 20+ years, good is always amazing and staff is always friendly. I especially love their muffins.
