Ordered the two piece cod and chips and I have never been so disappointed with such an order. The fish were uniform triangles that could have come out of a box of frozen filets from the local grocer. Nothing special to the restaurant like home made beer batter and their own chef cut filets. The chips were sparse, thin, broken remnants that said nothing fresh cut about them. The whole plate was like a disappointing uninspired offering from a 2nd rate cafeteria. The Riverhouse can do much better.

A really nice dining experience. We went as part of the Dine Out in Delta event. 3 course meal for $33 each. The service was friendly and welcoming. It was nearly full, but a very nice clientele. Not noisy. This made for a very pleasant meal. The food itself was great. Good amounts and very tasty. The restaurant itself has a cosy, warm ambiance. It felt like you were having dinner in someone's house. Highly recommended and we will definitely come again.

Previously, I've had very good experience at the River House pub and restaurant. Sadly for Thanksgiving the food quality was not what it had been in the past. The turkey dinner was very plain and boring and something I would have expected from a Denny's or any other mass produced chain. On top of that it was not cheap. Between drinks and food it cost a great deal more than many four and five star restaurants that I've been to.

Service was excellent, the food we had was also top notch. The staff were attentive and checking from time to time to make sure we had everything we needed.
This was our first visit since their renovation completed in April. Their new upholstery beautiful and comfortable. I love sitting on a banquette. My only complaint is the track lighting shining right in my eyes. They need to be re-oriented. My warm spinach salad and dresding was delicious. It could benefit from de-stemming the spinach. My husbands ahi tuna burger was delicious but while traditional cooked rare it was a bit too under cooked. We shared the sticky toffee pudding which was just meh. Cake part was dense and not much flavour. It would have benefitted from chopped nuts or raisins and a much better toffee sauce. Will go again. Would like to try brunch

We had a nice time. Neil is great. The fruit salad is not very good though. Also, the latte I had tasted a bit off. Was too shy to say anything. We Will be back though.

Had lunch here for the first time today and it will be the last time I ever go to this restaurant. While the food was good the service was terrible. We were the only table in the dining room yet had to wait approximately 30 minutes to have our order taken and in total it took over an hour to actually have our meal. It was a good 15 minutes for our server to bring us the dessert menu and after waiting about the same time and not having our order taken I spoke to the manager and it still took a very long time for our deserts to arrive. One guest had to ask for water refill multiple times before he actually got it. At no time did anyone inform us that there could be delays due to staff shortage or problems in the kitchen. We were just left to sit there wondering where our food was. Then we could not get our bill. We waited so long we got up and left the table looking to be able to pay. The only acknowledgement of this bad service was to deduct the charge for 2 coffees. Our lunch reservation was for 1:30pm and due to the slow service it was after 4:00pm before we could leave.

The renovations look very nice. My entire family is disabled and the new chairs were very comfortable, Our server was very friendly and has a keen attention to detail. Some changes on the menu. We shared 2 appetizer's which were cooked perfectly. Our lunch arrived not long after this and was also cooked very well. Really enjoy what you have done and we will be back again to dine
