I take the ferry to victoria regularly, and always try a stop at Starbucks, and usually arrive early so I can.
I honestly don't understand it but EVERY time the gals working there are slow, inefficient, borderline rude and completely unaware.
I'm don't know what it is but these employees are not up to usual Starbucks standards.....at all.
Today I had 40 minutes before the call to go to our vehicles. ...you think that'd be enough but not for these poor lost souls.
Today, after waiting 28 minutes I decided to ask for refund because they hadn't even begun my order.
I was given attutude for asking for a refund and was told it was taking so long because they were working on web orders. We did end up with one coffee from our order, a latte that was all foam and espresso, no milk. Come on Starbucks you do better everywhere else it's time to train these employees, or hire new ones. Never have I appreciated a good cup of coffee more. Hotel coffee was crap and we missed earlier ferries. Had a two hour wait.
Staff was so friendly and efficient.
This is a very busy location and the baristas were working very hard and quick. I used mobile order service and had my breakfast sandwiches a full 9 minutes before my two drip coffees, so breakfast was cold by the time my coffee ticket came up. Starbucks needs a better system that pairs your drink with your food. Cold eggs were not tasty.

I normally rag on Starbucks pretty hard. I usually can't stand these places because everything happens at a snails pace. We recently traveled through here and my wife was trying to fill her water bottle on the water fountain which had virtually no flow. The Starbuck barista could see my wife was struggling and told her to come over to the Starbucks and that she would fill our bottles for free. After 11 hours on the road this was appreciated. Sometimes its the little things!

We ordered an espresso Frappuccino and a mocha Frappuccino. The flavor was really light, I mean It didn't taste, it's not the first time it happened to me. the previous time I thought it was because there were a lot of people and they were in a hurry, but this time there weren't so many people ordering.

1) They will charge you.
2) Take forever to prepare (over 25min)
3) You'll have to leave without your order.
They won't give you a refund when you'll have to leave to for the ferry.
You'll feel scammed, if you want some coffee on the ferry YOU'LL HAVE TO PAY AGAIN (Orders are not transferrable from one location to another)

When it comes to a franchise business, there is nothing more irritating than the lack of consistency. I was heading to Victoria today so I needed to go to the Tsawwassen ferry terminal. There was a Starbucks on my way that I've used many times before that always has my favourite coffee the Oleato Latte. Instead of stopping there I decided that because there's a Starbucks at the terminal that I would go there instead. Of course, they were out of the olive oil. Every other Starbucks I go to has a wall full of it so this tells me one of two things. The manager at this franchise should not be a manager because they can't keep stock of the standard offerings or Starbucks does not do a good job of ensuring consistency across their franchise. I know this is a first world problem but I was disappointed and I think it's best you know in case you do care about consistency. Govern yourself accordingly just as I will going forward with my loyalty and spends with Starbucks.
