Overall is an average sushi place. The prices as everywhere, but particularly sushimi portions are insulting for the amount charged. Beware before ordering.

After 50 Years in Tsawwassen, This Was the Most Disrespectful Dining Experience I’ve Ever
I’ve proudly called Tsawwassen home for over 50 years. This community has always stood for kindness, fairness, and supporting local businesses — which is why this experience left such a bitter impression.
We called the restaurant an hour and a half before closing to make sure they were open. The owner who answered confirmed that they were. We arrived shortly after — well within seven minutes — but when we got there, the owner hesitated to seat us, clearly making us feel unwelcome. Eventually, she seated us, but her attitude was cold and dismissive.
Still, we ate and paid for our meal in 21 minutes. The food was fresh, though the portions were noticeably small for the price. I left a small but genuine tip, and explained respectfully that I had recently lost my job and could only offer what I could afford.
Instead of understanding, the owner demanded more money, publicly scolded me, and told me to leave — call her husband from the kitchen who even saying I shall leave and “go eat at McDonald’s.” It was degrading, humiliating, and entirely uncalled for.
Let me be clear: in Canada, tipping is not mandatory. It is a courtesy — not an obligation — and especially not something to be shamed or harassed over. No one should be pressured into giving more than they can. She stood yell on us asking more them what I payed in tips by card.
They make us stand without finish my sake and leave.
It’s also come to my attention — and this moment really confirmed it — that tips at this restaurant don’t appear to go to the servers.
I’ve come here many times over the years and have always given gracious tips when served by staff. But when it’s the owners themselves serving and demanding tips, I’m convinced the money stays with them and never reaches the hands of those who actually deserve it. That’s not hospitality — that’s exploitation.
Sadly, I’ve also witnessed the owners treating staff harshly, even correcting them publicly in ways that seem demeaning. It raises serious questions about the fairness and ethics behind the scenes.
After five decades in Tsawwassen, I can say with confidence: this kind of behavior doesn’t belong in our town. There are many other restaurants in our community where you’ll be welcomed, respected, and treated with decency — both as a customer and as a human being.
I wish I never gave her the tip; the tip is for good service. She overwhelm my relative who is an immigrant and felt in extreme uncomfortable situations.
And what ? Is an employee from Mac Donald’s not dignity of tips?!

So fresh!
The best sushi I’ve ever had.
Very friendly staff, amazing prices & quick service
Fantastic Sushi. I would look to get back here when in town again.
Great tasting sushi, friendly staff/owner, great portion sizes. Amazing experience all around. Great value.
The good: The sushi was tasty and fresh, and the fish is good quality and not farmed.
The bad: I could not believe how TINY the “special” roll that I ordered was. For $13 a roll I expected more. All together my bill was over $30 for a VERY small meal. For this reason I would not return.

Sotped in for lunch
Food is delicious and fresh, great service, clean and cozy restaurant.
Will most definitely be back again!
I'm not sure why this place gets high reviews, it was not a good experience for us. The rolls were put together very poorly. Uneven height and falling apart / not wrapped properly. I don't really wanna eat at a sushi place where the chef can't even cut rolls evenly and wrap them tightly. The ingredients were fine but the way they made the rolls was actually kinda embarrassing. The staff was actually kinda rude in a weird way. Not saying goodbye when we said bye and being weirdly silent like a family member just died or something we're just passing through so I'm not sure if there's any good food in this town but there is not a chance we will be back

The sashimi isn’t fresh, the food taste bad
Good food, although a little high priced. The atmosphere is warm but the restaurant seating area is extremely restricted and very small. It was not too busy so it was not a problem. But something to be aware of. They would not be able to accommodate a large group.
