We had the calamari, the duck, the pork belly and the creme Brule. All were wonderfully presently and incredibly delicious. The menu items seem to have been thoughtfully created with flavors that paired perfectly making for a meal that excited with every bite. The tenderness of both the duck and the calamari was second to none, and the pork belly delighted with complimentary flavors and both buttery and crispy textures. The service was extremely friendly and personal, a joy to be experienced. All in all one of my best meals in a restaurant in a long time. And we even brought home half a bottle of wine we did not finish. Made for a beautiful date night with my sweet wife. Can't believe it took us this long to come back and we will be returning soon. Thank you Genoa bay cafe.

Such a lovely drive to this restaurant! The food ... we had fish and chips... was great. I ordered the grilled option and it was done perfectly. The owner provides a great atmosphere. He helps to make us feel comfy and has a great sense of humor. Pricing is what you'd pay anywhere else. Worth the drive. We will return.

The detour is definitely worth it. The food is delicious, the place is quaint, the toilet is clean and Gordon and his crew are super nice.
We had a really great afternoon and have rarely laughed so much.
Gordon, you're great!

Went there for lunch today. The service was awful. I had a crantini and the waitress put her finger in my drink It looked like to flick a bug out or something gross .She had long curly hair not even pulled back flying around our food .She was not welcoming when we showed up. Beautiful location, horrible service.

Beautiful out of the way location. First time so only experienced the berry salad and fish and chips. Both were amazing.

Parking: Gravel parking. Careful if on a bike. Otherwise there was plenty.

Nice enough place but some serious food quality issues.

Small portions, especially on the appetizers, half the table weren't impressed with their entrees. Low points, the sword fish, small and with an uninteresting side rice and a berry salad with... defrosted frozen berries?? (In August?!) Quite terrible. Falafel tower was pedestrian and uninspired. The cheese cake was quoted as using a seasonal topping, which in August was salted caramel?? These guys need to go to a grocery store and buy a pint of blue berries.

High points; the jambalaya was good, with some proper spice. Chowder was also tasty. Service was fine and the location was rustic and pleasant on a marina.

Overall the venue didn't make up for the weak kitchen. Likely won't be returning especially given it is a bit of a slog to get there especially with all the road work.

Vegetarian options: There's is a vegan dish, the Falafel tower, it's not great but it's vegan.

Kid-friendliness: Reasonable kids options and menu.

An amazing little gem in the marina. The staff are lovely and warm. They feel like they are invested in the diners and the business which is nice. The menu is fantastic and the food is above expectations. The short rib is my personal fave. Wish it stayed open later, but that's just me!

I had the jambalaya & it was great - a huge portion.
It's a great spot & we enjoyed an air show by some belted kingfishers.
We arrived just 15 mins before the kitchen closed but we were still accommodated.
Dogs allowed on the patio.

We kayak for two hours to come and visit the amazing Breakfast at the Cabana, Genoa Bay Café. The staff were super friendly and the coffee, hot chocolate, and muffins or fresh! I highly recommend it if you’re in the area for a visit.
