Overpriced for below average quality food. Breakfast is bland, food is not cooked properly (lukewarm/cold, watery). Gluten free options are sad. Server did not communicate that there was an 18% automatic gratuity (which is reasonable, but at least tell people), leading to unnecessary confusion and complication. Felt like a waste of $30.

Best restaurant in fernie hands down. Wonderful service and delicious breakfast. Moved away from the area but I still dream about the happy Canadian eggs Benny.

Cozy little spot with friendly service and unexpectedly delicious brunch! We had the Adana's Eggs and the Huevos and both were phenomenol. Was especially impressed with the sourdough bread and dukkah.Vegetarian options: Plenty of tasty and filling vegetarian options!

Every time we come to Fernie we look forward to breakfast here. We are sad to say this time the food has gone downhill so badly. Nothing like what we remember, lacking flavour, no finesse to the dishes, just basic, lukewarm and over priced. Service was fine, aside from the older woman admonishing an elderly couple for sitting at the wrong table when they were basically instructed to seat themselves. Making them move to a smaller table as the "lunch rush" was about to hit - the restaurant was empty. The interaction was uncomfortable to watch and the rudeness unnecessary.

Eggs were a bit to watery, for the price of the meal I was expecting top quality food, but would say this was less than average at best. The first server was really great, but then it seemed the boss or older server was really annoyed when we stayed to use the washroom a little past paying our bills complaining that others needed the table. Her approach was quite rude. Asking politely would have been nice but we didn't even know we had over stayed our welcome, so instead of leaving with at least happy service we were left with a sour taste. I get that your stressed that you need the table, but my advice is to learn to communicate better what your needs are and approach with kindness. What would have maybe been a bad food experience and forgetting about it turned into a complaint about the entire experience. Iv seen responses to other reviews about food and service that you will look into the food part of the review. Please understand the service is just as if not more important that the food. If I could get a refund on the tip I would but there server who actually served us deserves it.

Unfortunately, both food and service were disappointing at the time when we were there. There was an excessive amount of water in the eggs and the spices used in the dish were stale dated. Coffee was free top up which was very nice but the taste was far from good. During our visit, the senior lady who worked there seemed to be very short and she shouted at us for being at the table extra 8 mins after we paid, some of us had to use the washrooms. We paid an average of $28/person for the breakfast.Edit to respond to the owner:After reading some of the reviews about the restaurant service and Jonah's comment 11 months ago, it was good that I have avoided some unnecessary arguments. Good service goes a long way. Hope things will be better in the future, cheers.

I was introduced to Blue Toque when I first came to Fernie a while back. Each time, I visit Fernie I have to eat here. The food is so fresh, created with so much love and it is so different from the other breakfast places. Everything I have had here is simply delicious. You can tell each ingredient is freshly harvested or hand made to create such satisfying meals. Our server was also super pleasant. Very consistent service each time too.I wish there is a Blue Toque in Vancouver!

Lovely and amazingly accommodating. My daughter and I stopped in for an afternoon getaway. The server was so nice and seated us at a great shaded spot. Had a great conversation with the owner, and we had divine snacks and hand crafted drinks. We will be back and thank you! You made our afternoon.

Staff should have to adhere to the anti-bullying policy aimed at customers. The hostess/waitress was extremely rude. Had my friend not had difficulty walking, we would have taken our business elsewhere. Will never return.

I cannot say enough about this diner. It was our first time here & from the moment we walked up the stairs onto the patio until the end of our time at the diner it was amazing. We were promptly greeted with kindness & we had our dog with us as well - the human who greeted us also gave the warmest, sweetest welcome to our dog which was so lovely. The service was 10/10 the food was incredible & the cocktails were exquisite. The music was at perfect volume and the scenery was fantastic. Thanks for such a wonderful brunch, can’t wait to visit again.
