My partner and I were really looking forward to dinner at Bramasole to start our vacation. We arrived around 6:30 p.m. without a reservation, as we were driving from Calgary and weren't sure of our timing. The female hostess told us they were at capacity and couldn't seat us, but a gentleman behind her offered to put us on a waitlist with an estimated time of 30–40 minutes. The hostess seemed reluctant to add us, even pointing to a name on a notepad saying, “We already have someone on the list”.
We happily agreed to wait and wandered around town . After 70 minutes with no call, I phoned to check our status on the list. Someone answered with, “We are ready for you,” without confirming my name. When we walked back to the restaurant, the same female hostess again told us they were at capacity, making it clear our business was not welcome. After some back and forth, a different gentleman finally agreed to seat us - but only outside on a tamarack chair, hardly ideal for a fine dinner.
For a place with so many glowing reviews, our experience was unwelcoming, disorganized, and far from the special night we had hoped for.

The food, wine selection and service deserve a 5 star review. If we could review the hostess separately, she’d get 1 star. Very off putting as soon as we entered the door. She was rude and set a bad atmosphere for the place. Even with a reservation, we were not allowed to sit inside due to a different reservation. Nobody sat at the indoor table for the entire 90 minutes we were there. Despite the tasty dinner, will not return

Bramasole offers a delicious menu with thoughtful dishes and a solid wine selection. The flavors were impressive—clearly a lot of care goes into the kitchen. However, the experience wasn’t quite seamless.
Our appetizers and mains arrived at the same time, which made it hard to enjoy each course properly. It felt rushed and disrupted the flow of the meal. The atmosphere could also use a bit more refinement to match the quality of the food—lighting, layout, and overall vibe felt slightly mismatched. A clearer dress code or ambiance cue would help set expectations, as the mix of casual and formal guests made it feel inconsistent.
That said, the staff were friendly and the food itself was excellent. With a few adjustments to timing and presentation, Bramasole could easily elevate the dining experience to match its culinary potential.

Amazing place. 100/100 on service, drinks and vibes. They were the best for our Barbie Bachelorette. We are so grateful they were able to fit us in.

My partner and I came here for some late-night drinks and food last night, and the restaurant was absolutely stunning. The food was delicious, and our server was wonderful. We can’t recommend this place highly enough if you’re in tow

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experiences at Bramasole during our honeymoon. The whipped ricotta and seasonal spritz were phenomenal. We tried 4 different pastas and all were wonderful. Quinn took very good care of us; it felt like we were coming home. Bramasole will be top of the list if we find ourselves back in BC
Be sure to enjoy the patio when the weather is good, the views are amazing!

Really enjoyed the evening, food was excellent; it’s a great venue in an old restored house. Only small negative was the service was a little slow as our gal was serving tables mostly outside on the back patio and kind of forgot about us sitting up front.

Remarkable Italian food and wine pairings. This restaurant feels small and personable while luxurious at the same time.

Absolutely delicious food. We are currently on a road trip across BC and this is my favourite meal so far - bruschetta was phenomenal, prawn and lemon pasta amazing, then the chocolate tarte for dessert - wow!! Do NOT miss out on this place, it is so so good!

Excellent service and food. My girlfriend and I were visiting on travel. They absolutely did not have to bag our food orders for take away, but they did anyways. Cute little Italian restaurant in what appears to be an old small house.

Great food, service and atmosphere. We ordered the whipped ricotta crostini… delicious. The pear arugula blue cheese salad was perfect. We ended the meal with the gnocchi with chicken in a creamy pesto sauce and Orecchiette with pork sausage, spinach, kale, olive oil pecorino and red chilies. No room for the desert but it looked great. We have traveled and dined around the world this place could compete with any of the great restaurants we tried. Worth a trip or stop in Fernie. We ordered drinks a a bottle of wine and had a great time chatting with a neighbouring table who joined us. Great vibe.
