Curry bowl is always a must. Wonderful food and we look forward to it every trip. The pad Thai is great, delicious appetizers and curry dishes. Missing the Balinese curry though!

The service was friendly, and the food was fantastic. We had the Vietnamese pork & elk spring rolls and Bali chicken satay to start, both were full of flavour including the peanut satay sauce. For mains, the Thai chicken curry and pork belly donburi with sweet chili glaze were excellent.

There was a bit of a wait, but the food was well worth it. Our waiter Anya was very good
also!

We’ve been coming to the Curry bowl for years. Food has always been good. Tonight our meal was exceptional. World class flavour. Each dish has something unique and special to appreciate. If you’ve never been or not for awhile, go! Also we had a celiac with us and they cleaned the kitchen before they cooked our meal to make it safe for her.

Visiting Fernie from Scotland and had dinner at the Curry Bowl, despite the unassuming exterior there's a lot of atmosphere packed inside with really friendly staff.
The menu is a fun mix of Thai and Vietnamese classics some with a Fernie twist. I had the samosas and the pork belly donburi and my dining partner had the mussels and the duck pho. Portion sizes were really generous for the price and the food was all cooked well and full of flavour, the pork belly in particular was amazing.
Really recommend if you're in Fernie and looking to get a good meal for a good price.

Hey, fantastic service, Zoe, and the other serving staff were incredibly insightful and created an amazing dining experience. The unique offerings elk curry along with probably the best coconut soup I have ever had made the entire experience wonderful! Well done Chef and all!

I don’t think I’ve had a more horrendous customer service experience at a restaurant before. Immediately after tipping 15% on a $100 bill, our waitress (the bald Caucasian lady) made a sour face and didn’t respond to our good bye greetings. We noticed after stepping out that we were overcharged for the samosas. I kindly pointed this out and requested it to be looked into, and was never met with so much hostility by a restaurant staff member before. We were accused by the bald lady of eating the extra samosa that we were charged for, even though we had no idea we were being charged for it. We had clearly vocalized at the time of ordering that we wanted 1 order of samosas (which came in 3’s) and we were a group of 3, so there was no reason for them to assume we wanted 4 samosas instead of 3. There was no mention of an additional samosa on the menu. How is it our fault that they brought out an extra samosa without us requesting it? Not to mention, the math didn’t even add up. To force the customer to pay for such a meagre error on their end, and try to hide it until it was pointed out, then become hostile when their deceit was brought to light, was comically petty.

We made it clear that there won’t be a next time for us, even though the food was decent (except the rice). Plenty of other great venues in Fernie; this one is to be avoided!

Bald waitress was extremely rude. Overcharged our bill, and when asked to correct it, said it was our fault for eating the one extra samosa that was on our plate (which were very small). Worst treatment I've ever had from a restaurant staff member, especially after spending over $100 for our meal (which had old, hard rice btw).

Food is very delicious, consistent and portions are great, never hungry after and always have left overs. My favourite is the Lentil Dip and Veggie Donburi, flavours just right!
Great job Curry Bowl!

The food here is very, very good. If I recommend places to eat based on that alone, this would be a definite recommendation. However, when I went here, it took an hour for our food to come out. The restaurant wasn’t full when I went (early June), so my entire group (4 people) was shocked at how long it took for the food to be prepared. That being said, I do want to reiterate how good the food was. If you’re willing to take a chance on the wait, then this is a solid place to go. But if you’re in Fernie and on a tight schedule, perhaps look elsewhere.
