Waited more than an hour for lunch. Empty tables but people still waiting in line…food is super $$$ for what you get. The hill needs new options

$160.00 for lunch for a family of five was crazy expensive. 1 beer, 1 poutine appetizer, two salads, two burgers, and grilled chicken breast sandwich. Is this normal for Canada or was I inadvertently in the Vail of Canada? Quality was fine, but man that is a steep price! Beer was a 20 oz and tasty. Waitress was friendly and the lass behind the bar was charming.

We had lunch there march 17th. The food was sooo bad. My wife had à VEGAN VERMICELLI BOWL, the taste was terrible, the chickpeas were from à can and it was not washed, the vermicelli was stuck in a pack.....all that for 24$. I had THAI CHICKEN BITES.... where is the chicken it was only tasting the fried paste....2 little leaves of chilantro....for 20 $. A total rip off. Dont go there ......

If you’re skiing in Fernie, don’t bother with Legend’s. Try Lost Boys Cafe at the top of the Timber Bowl lift or Cirque restaurant at the bottom of the Elk lift.
It’s pretty clear the staff can’t handle a busy day, and not only that, the sense of entitlement and rudeness is astonishing. We were a group of four who ordered one drink and one meal each. Drinks came out as expected, but the food didn’t. One meal came out relatively promptly. After 15 minutes of waiting for the rest we had to chase, only for two of the remaining meals to come out. More than 5 minutes later, after yet more chasing, the final meal came out.
Having complained about the quality of the service, the manager behind the bar (a blonde woman in her 50s), then attempted to gaslight me by stating that “food takes different times to make” and that the amount of time we had waited for food was less than the actual time. She claimed that she had been watching the clock and was timing it. I know this not to be true because I had been watching her behind the bar, and she was oblivious to the situation. If she did have time to watch the clock, maybe she could have been more useful in the kitchen.
We had hoped for some money taken off the bill which is a pretty customary thing to happen when service is poor. If she had done that we would have left much happier and without leaving a review. After much wrangling and further gaslighting in front of other customers, she only took one plate off.
Like I said, don’t bother with the place. You can do much better for your money elsewhere at the resort.
Love this place, bartender Cheryl is awesome, highly recommended 5 Stars
Has gone down hill unfortunately. Used to be a good spot, there was this lovely Australian lady who was on point behind the bar but she's gone this year and the food seems to have done hill. Bartender was unpleasant and took our table but was super slow. Ate 2 days there spaghetti okay, burger bad, teriyaki chicken bowl was bad. Thai bites were okay.
Fish and chips underdone. Burger made someone sick the next day. Price is very high for quality of food.
If I could give it 0 stars I would. No cutlery, no gravy on poutine, chili had about 8 beans and 1 oz of meat. Avoid at all costs. Pack a picnic.
So gross. We still can’t figure out what the burger was made from. The taste was like ham and rubber mixed together and the texture was like an old wool sock. The salad had so much sauce there was no taste just sour. There was also the massively saucy chicken, cold coffee, and we all got the ends of the tomatoes. GROSS! YUCK!
Restaurantji Recommends
We got both types of poutine, and nachos, and they were all delicious!

This is a good place to stop for lunch while skiing, and significantly better than the day lodge. Food is decent, and the portions can easily be shared. We have shared the poutine or the club sandwich in the past. If you are going for lunch, recommend going before 11:45 or after 1:30 as it is busy, and service is significantly slower.

The fries are wierd. They are frozen type but have a batter of some kind. Pretty awful.
