We went here thanks to a quick Google search. It was a Saturday night and we didn’t have a reservation, so totally fine with a wait. The hostess, however, was super rude about the potential wait, and seemed completely annoyed by us. We asked if we could sit at the bar, and it seemed like a huge inconvenience to her. We debated even staying but the bartender, Taylor, totally turned around our experience. She was knowledgeable, kind and seemed genuinely keen to give us a good experience. The drinks were great and the food was good too. The review would honestly would have been a 5 star, but the way we were initially “welcomed” brought it down, unfortunately.

We had the chips and salsa to start (way more chips than actual salsa), then ceviche, the tamarind ribs, and a chicken dish (on rice). We enjoyed the ribs and chicken but would suggest skipping the ceviche. It was like a small serving of coconut soup with a few scattered bits of fish in a small bowl, half of which was filled with plantain chips. Kind of disappointing.

Great food! Taylor was a wonderful server as well. Four of us ate two megaplatters of tacos and it was worth every bite. Interesting and tasty take on Mexican Street Corn also!

Not what we expected to find when passing through Fernie. Passing the patio on the main drag we were instantly drawn in. Sadly we were informed we would have to wait for an outdoor table but could grab a seat a the bar right away if that worked for us, and man we are glad we did!
The bar man was so attentive and incredibly knowledgeable about everything on the menu. In the end he ordered for us…we were not disappointed. The tuna tostada and fish bowl (complete with a tequila shot) were our favourites, but I could see we barely scratched the surface on options.
We'll be back for sure to check out the tacos next time….hopefully on the patio with a bit luck!

Omg. It’s been two weeks since we were in Fernie and i haven’t stopped thinking or talking about this place, well, more like craving. Tonight i tried to make arepas and failed. I can cook tamales, chile relenos and even crazy good black bean soup, but never even had an arepa till Nevados. Now I’m addicted. Actually we’re all addicted…to everything we ate and if our stomachs would have let us, we would have ate more. The staff was very nice to us and eventually moved us out to their amazing patio. The corn bread was the best I’ve ever had bar none. The tacos were great, the arepas well you know…, the tostadas and even the desserts were all amazing and fresh and super quality. I’m literally drooling thinking about driving back down from Calgary to eat there… Kudos to the kitchen staff. You guys rock out some absolutely amazing food.
Navados made us feel welcomed the second we walked in and gave us great tapas and drinks (pork belly bites for the win). Also our server Sydney was an absolute blast to be around and made sure we were well taken Care of.
Anyway, come for the cocktails and tapas. stay because the energy in this place was exactly what we were looking for.

This place is the absolute bomb. Banging food, drinks and service. A gem in a small town! Peak season is busy so we got there early. Thanks front of house for a great experience and tequila suggestions. Shout out to the kitchen for the insanely tasty well presented food! Modern, vibey, snazzy 11/10.

I recently visited Nevados on my trip to Fernie this summer. The host was friendly, explained that they are a first come first serve restaurant in order to be as fair as possible. We went for a drink at the Fernie Distillers while waiting for our table. Let me tell you, Nevados was worth the wait! Our server Erin was incredible, the food and drinks were outstanding. 10/10 would visit again!
