When you have a bad experience at a restaurant (get ignored by servers, wait 30+ mins to get you order), all you can really do is try to tell yourself it wasn’t personal (racial thing, or the fact that you were alone), leave a review to make yourself feel better, not leave a tip, and never go back.
I’m doing all 4 with this place and now I feel better. Fortunately there’s 2 sushi places in Fernie, will try my luck at the other one. Food was ok though (maguro was kind of mushy).

We stopped in on a whim as we were driving through Fernie, and boy were we pleasantly surprised! I got a sushi box, which were all well executed, and the tempura veggies were perfect. My mom got the bulgogi, which was also very tasty (and quite a generous portion). Try the mulled tea, it was really quite delightful (I'm not sure if it's Japanese, or just a special creation for cold apres-ski days. Regardless it was really neat orange and star anise, with lime. Service was professional and the place was doing a brisk business.

Sushi was really good until i found a black very course hair in the middle of my dynamite roll. completely lost my appetite and ate only a couple tools out of my entire order. complete waste of money due to the hair. very gross.

We decided to check this place out for lunch today, and had a great experience. We tried the Bibimbap, spicy Dak, dynamite roll, and salmon bento box.
Everything was great, and super tasty. Portions were good, prices were fair. Friendly staff and great service.
Loved the bizarre cover songs playing in the dining room too, we had a great time.

Went there for a birthday night. Love The booths and staff was great. We went with our almost 2 years old and it was great. A bit disappointed with the food; our beef dish came on the bone and one of the plates was missing toppings. Instead of taking the plate back and fixing it, they just said sorry the chef must have forgotten. Overall, unfortunately I think for the price & quality we likely will go to the other restaurant in town.

We ordered two combo A (not sure if that’s the correct name) which had California rolls and 3 nigiris each. They gave us salmon, tuna, and shrimp nigiris and they were pretty tasty ?? I also ordered spicy seafood udon, and it was a great choice. It was a bit spicy for me but I think it would be fine for those who love spicy food. The udon was very rich and had many seafood in it. In overall it was a great experience in Fernie’s sushi wood ?
Kid-friendliness: They gave us cute chopsticks for my little brother ? they were for the people who are not used to using chopsticks
