Well, we usually get taken out from TOE, which is usually good. Last night we ordered take out dinner for 4 plus a few extras. Food was hot and ready when said, the issue I have with it is the amount of onions used in every dish. Yes I know they are used in this style cooking but when the take out dish is 3/4 full of onion filler to make it seem full, I got issues. This was on every dish except the spring rolls. I get it ingredients are expensive, but when the customer is paying for shrimp, calamari, sweet and sour as examples, I expect to see more of what I ordered than onion filler.
Need to do better.

We did takeout dinner for two which was reasonably priced, especially considering how much other restaurants in Fernie are charging. The food was greasy though, and a little bland, pretty typical for what you'd expect from a small town Chinese restaurant.

I don't even know how to describe how bad this food was. I read other reviews and simply do not get it. You get better Chinese food at a food court. Also not accessible for people with mobility issues.

This was the absolute worst meal we have ever had in Fernie, being long time locals. We got take out one week ago (I sent them a message about it with no response so now leaving a review)
We had to throw it in the garbage, it was not edible. We got the dinner for 2 at around 8pm and it seemed like it was very old food, cold, dry, unpleasant, maybe it came from the nightly buffet...
The chow mein was starchy and inedible, the spring rolls had a funny taste and were inedible, the ginger beef was dry and stale. Just awful. It was almost $75 for 2 of us and we couldn't even eat it. They also put a $2 charge on our bill which is usually for substitutions but we didn't make any...
Was hoping they might rectify the situation and maybe just had a bad night but am now writing the review to warn people DO NOT EAT HERE.

Chinese food with stereotypical small town breading on everything. Couldn’t tell a shrimp from a dry rib. The ginger beef was hard and crusty with no flavour. When you found the shrimp, they were bland.
I ordered chow mein and it was mediocre and sticky, my wife had steam rice, which was Like cold minute rice.
We picked up a to go order as soon as it was supposed to be done. There was actually some ginger beef that was cold to touch like it been in the fridge.
$80 not well spent. No chance of going back wouldn’t waste my time

The service was really good. The best salt and pepper shrimp I ever tried. The ginger beef and wanton soup were also good.

Good food, great staff. We came very close to closing time amd they served us up some delicious Chinese food. The building is pretty cool, with an original elevator in it (hence the name). Recommened eating here!

Wanted to love it. Wor Won Soup was meh. Clearly just frozen vegetables thrown in. Super tough chicken.
Fried chicken wings were rock hard. Literally hard to bite into.
Server was very friendly and prompt.

I’ve had great experiences here in the past but in my last order the Kung Pao chicken was hard, like too hard to eat. Everything else tasted good but that was definitely off putting.

Great food and amazing service!!! The won ton soup was delicious! Huge servings
Restaurant was in an interesting old building and the waitress was friendly. Portions were huge and the food seemed freshly cooked, but unfortunately was very bland. I would suggest putting some condiments (soy sauce, chilli sauce, sesame oil maybe) out on the tables to spice things up.
We thought it was a bit expensive for what it was, though having said that, we had enough leftovers to take away for another meal the following night!
Amazing food. Good portions. Very friendly staff. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
Hidden gem!! I loved the wonton soup and fried rice! The waitress was so funny and honest. I definitely recommend eating here!
