The tonkotsu shoyu ramen tasted amazing and had a rich flavor. The noodles had the perfect texture and softness. The server asked if I wanted to make it spicy ...I said no, but I appreciated that they offer that option for spicy food lovers. I went as a party of one and waited in the waiting area for about 15 minutes, during which the server asked if I wanted a drink. It’s a great place that I would recommend for a group of friends, but not so much for an intimate date night, as the environment is better suited for a loud and fun evening.

Really cool restaurant, with great food. What stood out the most was the service. Super personable and helpful staff. Came here for a birthday with 7 of us and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend checking Yamagoya out. Will be back next time we’re in Fernie.

Thank you Krista, you always make us feel like we are VIP’s when we have dinner here. Everything was absolutely delicious - from the Gyoza, tuna tataki, sashimi and favourite rolls to the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Yamagoya you never disappoint! See you next time :)

Friendly staff and great service! We loved the Tuna Bomb and the Sashimi. Very disappointed with the rolls. The rice was super dry and tasteless. I would go back for everything but the sushi rolls.
