“This restaurant is a bit of a hidden jem. We had Wor Wonton soup and the house special chow main. The wonton soup was very good and the small bowl is more like a large. We had a large and a small and I had a shard time getting through the large but I conquered it.

The chow main was very good as well.

The only reason we didn't give 5 stars is because the decor is dated (but clean).

“I had just come from Calgary & Edmonton where I enjoyed fabulous ethnic food, and absolutely did not expect to find food of this caliber in Fort Nelson! After a really long day of driving I was trying to make it to the Triple H by 8p but I missed it by a few minutes and at first I was disappointed - but then I took one bite of Northern Spice's food- and instantly knew I much preferred it over the steak dinner I had planned! I ordered the butter chicken poutine (instead of traditional gravy they use butter chicken sauce!) and added chicken! I lived in NYC for many years, and this was as good as any butter chicken I've had ANYWHERE! It was a very nice touch that they covered the top with cheese and broiled it, and they made it nice and spicy as per my request! It is DELICIOUS authentic Indian food with a Canadian twist - it was served over French fries! Even though it's listed in the side dish section - I could only eat half of it, and it was only right about $10 - I absolutely hope to come back someday!”

“We have been here multiple times, whenever we stayed at Woodlands Inn on the way to Whitehorse and back. For dinner, it's the back lounge instead of the front restaurant. We have had chicken wings which was yummy, the Alfredo pasta with chicken and mush room which was excellent. We have had the Veal Cutlet which was disappointing. The atmosphere, is a bit too dark in our opinion.

The front restaurant is for breakfast. Last year we could still order breakfast a la carte, which was excellent. This year, it became a Continental breakfast of sausage (good), cheese omelet (a bit rubbery), waffle from a waffle maker (ok), some fruits, muffins (which did not look appetizing).

“I make frequent trips from the Yukon to Alberta, and I always make it a point to stop here because of the fresh food and service. There are other fast food options in Fort Nelson. This is my go to stop each time.”

“For a McDonald's, I have to say that this place is pretty awesome. I've never been served tableside at a McDonald's before. This fella who took my order was very courteous and friendly. Took my order and then brought it to my table. Everything was neatly arranged as if he had OCD! Even a couple ketchup packs and salt and pepper sitting perfectly side by side. Well done sir!”
