We had a group lunch today, September 25th, 2025 and I have to say that I have never been served worse food. My husband and I ordered the daily special of toasted roast beef sandwiches. The bread was burned black and the sandwich was stone cold. I can’t comment on the other orders, but wouldn’t recommend the pub to anyone asking. Have lived here a long time and remember it being so much better. I don’t normally complain but this was unacceptable.

I stopped in at the Blackfish Pub while waiting for the ferry and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly faces and welcoming staff who genuinely seemed to enjoy their work and each other’s company. Even though I only had time for a beer at the bar and didn’t get to try the food, the positive energy and great service made me feel right at home.
The pub itself is spacious, clean, and has a fantastic atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel comfortable, whether you’re just passing through or staying longer. I left impressed and smiling — I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Gibsons.

Last night September 18, we showed up at 6 peoples as we always come on Wednesday’s. We just got the wrong server this entire night and bad customer service.experience .. we took 3 specials ribs / 2 teriyaki burgers and 1 plate of wings..
This server just mixed up the entire order..one of us ended up getting his food an hour after we ordered it.. and all we got was just sorry.. we ended sending the food back as the rest of the table was done.
this is unprofessional service far from what the blackfish is about. ..
That guy need to wake up .. Blackfish team will loose customers with that guy..

Great food and service. Awesome Atmosphere too. Sat on the Outside Patio, Self seating,but we hadn't been sat for more than 2 or 3 minutes and a waitress brought menus and did our drinks order, prices are readonable, food was good,had 10 oz striploin with mushrooms on top as well as fries. My wife had the Feench Onion soup,which she found a little too salty, had wings appie. Overall Good evening had.

Like most restaurants these days prices are overinflated . Not much for under $20.00 even something as simple as an Asian salad is over $22.00 just for the vegetable version...you can expect to add another $3.00 or more if you want to add a protein!

Ample parking and easy to get to. It wasn’t too busy during lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Lots of seating if you have a semi large group. It was sit yourself. We found a spot by the window to watch the atmospheric river come down. Menu had lot’s of choices to choose from. We opted for the perogies and bratwurst and fish tacos with the house lager. Portions were large and filling. Food was tasty. Waitress and staff were very attentive and polite. I’d definitely highly recommend this place if you are in the area.
