Great first stop on the Sunshine Coast!
After a tough ferry wait on Sunday, we made Persephone our first stop on the Sunshine Coast.
It was a beautiful day and despite a big crowd at Persephone we were able to find a shaded picnic table for five. We grabbed drinks and put in a food order. Kelly was lovely and helped with our choices. We appreciated her patience with our indecisiveness!
The Octoberfest draft and the Not-toberfest (cask) were both great brews and our friends enjoyed the hopped cider and the seltzers.
A local musician, Sean Peters, was playing a great variety of music. Especially loved hearing some John Prine and talking with Sean in between sets!
They offer a nice variety of pub fare. There is something for a variety of tastes and diet needs. We enjoyed the pretzel w/ beer cheese, smash burgers, hummus platter, fried chicken w/ spicy maple syrup and poutine and the chicken-poutine bowl. All were tasty and well prepared.
PostScript - we were early for our ferry home so stopped again for a quick drink. Imagine our surprise to have Kelly welcome us back by name! We enjoyed a sampling of different ciders along with a very enjoyable IPA. Another fun stop.
Looking forward to our next visit to the Sunshine Coast!
Honestly we love this place so much but the service from the lady w/ big glasses behind the bar was incredibly dismissive and rude when asking about the menu so we left. Really sorry for this experience. Probably won't be back coming back.
Looks nice but the seating is odd..old uncomfortable stools and chairs..smelled like sewage coming form somewhere.. luckily we got a parking spot close to the front/entrance
What a cute gem! Their burgers are the best. Their stout is one of the best I have ever had!
Always a stop for us on the way to Sakinaw! One of our favourite breweries—super friendly staff, great beer, and tasty food. Love sitting out in the garden with a pint, playing a little corn hole, wandering through the bookstore upstairs, and just enjoying the beautiful grounds.
Very nice layout, atmosphere is very easy going. Beer is great!
Love stopping by Persephone on my visits to the coast :) The atmosphere and beer can’t be beat. Thanks to Juleika for a great experience and excellent recommendations.
Lovely locally made and produced ingredients going into awesome food and drink. Enjoyed this place a whole lot
My wife and I have been enjoying their Pale Ale for a couple years now, and I have to say that is in an Excellent Craft Beer!
Great place for kids! Delicious cocktails and mocktails and wonderful ambiance. The burger was delicious as well. We will certainly be back next time we’re on the Sunshine Coast

Last spot we checked out was Persephone Brewing Company. They make beer, cider and seltzers. There's a Little Spoon Ice Cream on site and cornhole. Nice that there's live music.
- Cider flight ($12.00) - watermelon mint, wild organic, dry hopped and estate apple. Best of the bunch was the dry hopped but flavours were meek and unbalanced
Great vine with live music on Friday. Good burgers and beer and well in a cool farm location.
This place was amazing! Great beer, awesome setup. Judica (spelling) was awesome and made our visit so much better. Definitely coming back here any time we’re on the Sunshine Coast.
We first heard about this gem from some friendly locals while riding the ferry, and wow—what a tip! Persephone Brewing turned out to be one of the absolute best spots on the Sunshine Coast. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the welcoming, upbeat vibe and the genuinely friendly staff who make you feel right at home.
The beer is outstanding—fresh, full of flavor, and brewed right on site using hops they grow themselves. Pair it with their amazing farm-to-table food, and you’ve got a perfect afternoon. The brewery is set on the most charming little farm, complete with hop fields, lush vegetable gardens, and even chickens wandering around. There’s plenty of outdoor seating where you can relax, enjoy the scenery, and soak up the laid-back Sunshine Coast atmosphere.
It’s clear they care about quality, community, and sustainability, and it shows in everything from their delicious beer to their eco-conscious farming practices. Whether you’re a craft beer lover, a foodie, or just someone looking for a great spot to unwind, Persephone Brewing is a must-visit. We can’t wait to go back!
Highly recommend visiting here. They have some cider options and seltzers for non-beer enjoyers too. Their smash burgers were amazing!
