Salt and Swine is the best representation of the experience I had in Mexico for street tacos! I'm also a celiac and have had a great gluten free experience.

Taco Tuesday is a great experience and tasting each variety is the best option to fine your favorite. The Carnitas being a love of mine they are super flavorful and you can't beat the offer!

I have tried most of the tacos offerings on the coast and this is my go to for sure. The flavors are well balanced and very filling for the price!

Go on a Tuesday for Taco Tuesday to get a good sampling of what the quality and place represents and try more of the menu if you can! So far it's been a few months and my regular Tuesday spot if I'm In Gibson's. Worth the drive from Sechelt for sure!

I can't wait until next Tuesday!

Thought I would try this place out as I love me a good street taco, I tried 4 different tacos, pork, fish and 2 styles of beef. The fish was the only hot taco everything else was cold, nothing worst than a cold pork taco. Flavour was ok size was good margaritas were top notch! Would I go back? No I think I would pass. Not that they were awful I just know where I can get better tacos for the same price

Waited 40-50 minutes to get nachos and tacos. Had to flag someone down to follow up but just overall felt dismissed. Ended needing to take our order to go due to the long wait. Food isn’t bad but not worth the service and long wait.

The place looked very interesting and promising, with the catchy name, great reviews, beautiful art on the walls and the decor. The service is very friendly and welcoming. The place looks spotless clean. The food, however, doesn’t live up to the hype or the name. Everything - the salsa, the guacamole, the tacos, and the burritos were absolutely bland. The only thing that had any amount of salt in it was the chips. Everything else didn’t. The only salt source in the restaurant is the teeny-tiny salt shaker that you have to ask for at the till - between the 4 people we used up half the shaker (and would probably have used a bit more, but there weren’t any left in the shaker). It’s pretty pricey (but I guess, everything is now) - for 2 adults and 2 kids we spent a hundred on just the food and tips, no drinks. Kids burritos didn’t have any meat option included in it, so you’d have to order it. If you’re vegetarian, the veggie tacos don’t taste that great, and fall apart, as all the ingredients are just a mix of finely chopped pieces and some beans that are pretty tiny as well - the sauce is pretty runny and doesn’t hold things together. The fish taco smelled a bit off at first when we were just served the food, and was just a big piece of fish without much else there - not even much sauce unfortunately. I’d skip this place next time. Salt not found. Disappointed.

Came in as a family of 5 at 7pm on a Saturday before our ferry ride back to Vancouver and the food was ready within 15 minutes. It wasn't busy when we arrived but by 7:30, there was definitely a fair few more people. L

We ordered a burrito, a bunch of tacos and a torta. All of them were great. The margs were also delicious!

The taco fillings were plentiful, just wish the tortillas were a little bit bigger to get it all in. But hey, that's not a bad problem to have.

Can't imagine there's anything bad on the menu. Would definitely come back next time I'm around and try a few more things.

TL;DR: incorrect order, widely-varying portion sizes.

Hi! The owner seems lovely and the space is very inviting (I appreciate the pride rainbows). The food also had nice flavor and I could see enjoying it in other circumstances.

However, there were several issues with quality control and service.

First, we ordered 4 items—all of which ended up having the incorrect protein filling. Moreover, between the two burritos we ordered (both large), one had over twice the amount of meat as the other (both were the same filling). Real quality control issues, unfortunately.

Second, the meat fillings of all four items were incorrect—not a single one was correct as ordered. I mentioned this to the cashier upon pick-up, but she suggested that I had remembered my own order wrong. I hadn’t, but I thought it was better to avoid an argument in front of everyone.

Again, would love to come back and try again. If there had not been such serious issues with service, it would have been 4 or 5 stars for us.

Ordered Carnita pork and Baja fish, both on the street taco option. Bomb! So delicious, filling, and reasonably priced! Cute small establishment but super clean. The cash front woman was super kind and chill while explaining things to me and my friend. Probably my fave taco place in Sunshine Coast and I live here!

Ready for some Mexican food, we were excited to try Salt and Swine. The restaurant is charming and very clean. The guacamole was super fresh and the house-made chips were perfectly crisp and salted just right. The Mexi fries (which are actually tots) were extra crispy and surprisingly tasty—order with the chipotle mayo for extra flavor. Unfortunately, the Chicken Tinga and Carnitas fillings lacked a little flavor, and the churros tasted as if they’d been refried and had—didn’t realize this was possible—too much cinnamon and sugar. We had to shake some off.
