Amazing. Fantastic food, great service, great vibe. Look forward to more rainy nights in this cozy space.

Dinner on the patio on a summers eve was perfect. Great meal selection with fair prices. Coupled with fabulous service by Lily. Easy parking, great spot and wonderfully view.

Drift Cafe and Bistro served us up a wonderful lunch along with a pot of delicious coffee! The portions were generous and the price was in keeping with the quality of food and setting. We came here a couple of years ago and will definitely stop by again on our next visit in the area which should be soon, hopefully!

Great location with a view of the ocean. Service was cheerful, friendly and welcoming. Food was great. Will come again.

The Drift restaurant is not easy to rate. The view from their balcony is absolutely fantastic, but if you are going to a restaurant to eat rather than enjoy the view this is not the place to go. They offer "a la carte" service which was clearly and politely explained by the server. However the portions are so small that you'd have to order every single thing on the menu so as not to leave hungry. Their menu has a very different description of what is served, but the server didn't explain the differences. It shouldn't be that hard! They offer "craft brewed beer." I happen to enjoy craft beer and I want to support small business so I ordered a beer. It came in a can! I said I didn't want it, but they charged me anyway. Overall a disappointing experience.

This place has a great view and the servers are friendly and efficient. However the portions are very small and they don't match what is described on the menu. Bottom line, we left hungry and dissatisfied even though the bill came in very high. Not at all good value, won't be going back.

This is surely the best patio and view in Gibsons. Dinner was delicious and service very good. Would prefer all in meals vs. single plates but food was still very good. All in all a wonderful evening.

A wonderful deck overlooking the harbour makes for a relaxing setting. However, we found the food disappointing. At 7:30 pm on a weekend, the server said the restaurant had no seafood available whatsoever. We ordered off the vegetarian menu (a great idea!) and the cauliflower "steak" was a thin slice of cauliflower which, along with five falafel balls, while tasty, seemed skimpy for $20. Everything else we ordered was just 'meh'.

We were a large party (13) of out-of-towners and we had en excellent experience of dinner and drinks here. We were seated on the patio, which overlooks the water. Lovely. We started with delicious drinks, then had good mains ( my sockeye was a little overcooked), and followed up with lovely desserts. The staff were wonderful, attentive and accommodating without being overbearing. Very good. Altogether, it was an excellent experience. Thanks to all at drift.

Amazing Brekky, large enough to keep me going until dinner. View of the bay is awesome. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, but it was no big deal for us. We just wandered around and checked out some shops close by. A must visit in Gibsons

Went here for brunch had to wait for a good 40 mins for a table. I would have given the restaurant a better score but the hostess was not very welcoming and gave us a “telling off” for using the wrong stairs to enter the restaurant. Food was excellent and view very good. Our server was helpful and the All in Breakfast was great. Probably would give it another try and hopefully get a better welcome!

Terrible attitude by the reception. She did not greet us; cranky without a smile obviously. She simply told us that there was no table available and that the patio did not allow dogs. I do not care how great the food was at this cafe but this person should have been talked to by management properly. Everyone on the island was super nice and friendly except her.

My husband, toddler, and I along with two friends came to visit the Sunshine Coast for the first time (we live in the lower mainland) and came to Drift for brunch before our ferry back. We did not end up dining here. We were appalled by the terrible attitude and service of the woman at the front. At one point, my toddler was in the doorway and I was attempting to get her to move aside, and the employee said in an impatient tone “I just need to get inside” which rubbed me the wrong way. My daughter is 2 years old. Definitely did not feel welcoming for a family. My friend who spoke with her to out our names down in the beginning also said she was quite rude, spoke to us with a very condescending tone. When we came back to check on the wait time again she was condescending towards me, especially when I inquired about an open table. I don’t like making things about race, but I couldn’t help but wonder after our encounter with her - we are Chinese and Korean. Management - please check your staff. I would never recommend any of my friends to come here.

Having been on a diet for the past few months and almost reached my target, a little reward was needed! Initially, I had planned to have dinner at Drift, but with the latest COVID restrictions, it had to be brunch. I ordered Chicken & Waffles, which were superb - the chicken is brined and then fried to crispy goodness while still succulent and juicy. Napped with a silky Hollandaise sauce, served atop a slice of thick-cut double-smoked bacon, resting on a waffle, accompanied by a spicy maple syrup with a side of lightly dressed greens. It was excellent I completed my meal with an outstanding cup of coffee sourced from Moja Coffee. Service was friendly, unobtrusive and professional and the view from Drfit's patio is stunning. As motivation to keep to my diet, rewards (dreaming of that special treat) were front and centre - this dream lived up to all expectations! With the current COVID restrictions, Drift is open for patio dining and takeout, Friday to Tuesday between 10am and 2pm. During these challenging times, please support your local restaurants - they need us as much as we need them!

We enjoyed our meal as always but were a little dismayed that our server had a poorly fitted paper mask. It slipped down his face, he would push it back up and handle plates. It gaped at his nose. There was no way that mask was preventing aerosol droplets from being dispersed in the restaurant whether through the air or from his hands. Disappointed to experience this lack of attention to hygiene.
