I'm surprised there are so many good reviews. My friend and I went on a weekend for lunch and the place was almost empty. The portion sizes were all over the place, and the squid we ordered was burnt and rubbery (the breading was actually burnt and black). The service was friendly, but as soon as we recieved menus the waitress was asking us if we were ready to order and kept checking in at our table every 5 mins. It was a little too much. She asked us if we were ready for the bill before we had finished eating. I would not go back. The food was not worth it at all. Their bubble tea flavours are interesting and the Boba was well made though.

I wonder why this restaurant got such a good rating. The food has big problems. Vegetables are fine, but the meat quality is terrible. I think those meats must be frozen over several years . They use very cheap meat for the cooking. I can smell the problems from the meat even it’s after deep fried. I told them the problem but they didn’t do anything and charged me everything. One whole dish of meats were left on the table when we left. If they don’t do anything, I am sure this restaurant will be closed very soon.

Maybe a little pricey, but very good quality and large portions.
For Gibson’s, it’s nice to have some legit Chinese food. Their salt and pepper fish was sooo good and authentic. Their mapo tofu was also solid with a Szechuan spice to it. Dim sum hit the spot. We’ll be back!

We were exhausted after a 3 day kayaking expedition and Uptown Eatery was exactly what we needed. The food was absolutely delicious, catered to vegetarians and meat eaters alike. A nice ambient soundtrack and the service was great. Next time I’m in Gibson I’ll be returning!
