Seemed like Japanese-Chinese fusion. The food i had was yummy and there were some veggie delights I have never seen on a menu. I had a roll with agadashi tofu on top. Gomae sauce was good but not the authentic Japanese sauce I was hoping for but was stoked to have gomae in the actual roll. Seafood gyoza's were more like deep fried wontons but still good. If you want Authentic Japanese Nagomi in Gibsons is the best but I enjoyed the staff and patrons and was super happy to get to have agadashi tofu and gomae in one roll! There were some timing issues with our food. Our appetizer we ordered first, came last and the main meals were served at different times. My friends was nice and hot, mine not as much. I would go again to try some other menu items I have not seen on other Japaness food menus but Nagomi for Authentic Japapnese food. Overall, a good experience.

Tried out Won Japanese Restaurant on a busy Sunday evening. Service was spotty; had to ask for tea, serving plates, etc. Stingy with ginger.
- Tamago roll ($4.25) - standard - Negitoro roll ($6.25) - solid - Chopped scallop & tobiko roll ($6.75) - good sized scallops. One piece was 95% rice filled - Unagi roll ($10.25) - decent - Oshizushi sushi ($15.99 for 6) - could have used jalapeño slices to add some punch
Decent maki rolls at WJR. 3.5 stars.

After a long day, this was by far the best experience and Japanese food I've had in my 39 years of existence. Maybe it was the beaches or the coast. They catered to us with 2 toddlers under 2. If I'm ever eating sushi on the Sunshine Coast, it will always be here. The Filipino staff will be forefront of the day.

Ordered take out and arrived after the 25 minutes they said then they made me wait for another 25 minutes then gave me lukewarm teriyaki. I guess I'll stick with Semi across the street

The best sushi in the area. Tasty and fresh. Nice atmosphere and lots of parking. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Have tried a few other spots and this one is our fav, came again tonight and decided it deserves a review

Amazing! Great food. Fantastic staff. Food was very quick, large servings and so fresh. I would recommend this restaurant all day long. We sat outside in the courtyard of our hotel trying to figure out where to eat, and ther was a steady stream of people eating in and taking out. This is what is what made us decide to eat here. No regrets! Please try this restaurant.
Great food, I had one of their daily specials and my wife and mother had the other daily special. I finished my meal before one of the other daily specials came out and both of us finished our meals before the 3rd daily special came out. Pretty disapointing

Please buy new dishware, weathered, two piece wooden bowls are not a good look with raw fish. Charging $2.00 for GF soya sauce feels like robbery.

Years back I gave a bad review but having finally returned. I was very pleased with my food. The only thing that I don't think is cool is the 20% gratuity for tables of six or more. You shouldn't force gratuity like that.
