For a small town like Golden, this place is honestly pretty decent. The tacos were good⊠not mind-blowing, but definitely made with fresh, quality ingredients. Itâs the kind of food that feels real, simple, and made with care.
We also tried the churros. These ones were fine, but not amazing. The inside was a bit too doughy and the dip was too thick. I like them when theyâre more airy and crisp. Would I order them again here? Probably not.
Overall, you can tell the foodâs made from the heart. The place itself has a nice, friendly vibe too. So yeah, Iâd recommend it. In a town like Golden, where the restaurant scene isnât huge, this spot feels genuine. Good, honest food, made by people who care.

Service was the biggest issue. We asked two separate servers to turn on an outdoor heater, but it was never followed up on during our 40-minute meal. Also lack of basic touches; no napkins or cutlery were provided at all.
From reading other reviews, it sounds like this might be a recurring issue.

Very cosy both inside and outside. Service was welcoming and friendly, and food was great.
Delicious filling burritos, tacos and they have a perfectly tasty margarita!

Travelling through Golden and looking for dinner. We saw how busy Reposadis was and guessed it looks good. It was! We ordered soft tacos by recommendation of the server who was very helpful navigating the menu. GF and Veg options. The tacos were fresh and delicious! The chef clearly puts thought behind each component of the taco. The rice was extremely tasty too. Highly recommended.

Had some absolutely delicious food here. As someone who has a gluten intolerance, it is very nice to go somewhere and find that a majority of the items are both safe and yummy! There are even some vegan alternatives that I did not end up trying but my cousin did and said they were very good as well. Would definitely recommend!

We had a free day from our Banff vaca so decided to check out Golden. Stopped in for lunch and loved it. I had 3 tacos, chicken, pork, and brisket. I'm not a huge brisket fan, but it was good. I loved the pork and chicken/pineapple. My husband had the pork burrito as a bowl and it was delish also. We also ordered the churros and enjoyed those as well. Everything was fresh, hot, and had plenty of flavor. Definitely recommend.

Not proper Mexican, very whitewashed!! We didn't enjoy it but maybe you would.
No free refill on chips, which is BAD. Even downtown Banff Mexican places provide free chips refills.
Potato taco can be avoided, Chicken taco was very good, the avocado taco was okay.
We try Mexican wherever we go, bit this place overall not worth the price for us.

You come here expecting convenience, not discovery.
And yet, tucked between the wilderness outfitters and the places that smell vaguely of fryer oil and regret, thereâs Repesados. No pretension, no glossy marketing campaign, no one whispering âhidden gemâ on travel blogs. Just a taco joint with the nerve to actually be good.
The first bite hits you with that city energy â confident flavors, fusion that doesnât apologize. Repesados doesnât earn points for being charming or plucky or good-for-Golden. This place is just good. Period.
They boast tacos (and burritos) that balance heat, crunch, and richness without feeling engineered. Cocktails that taste like someone behind the bar still has fun experimenting, using a combination of familiar and quirky ingredients. Churros so good youâd swear they came from a back-alley stand in Mexico City.
The service is casual, bordering on familiar, like the staff already assume youâre a regular. And by the end of the meal, youâll want to be one.
Repesados doesnât just raise the bar for Golden, it truly stands on its own. The kind of place that makes you rethink what small-town dining can be, and maybe, just maybe, makes you look at Golden a little differently on your next drive through.
