for a chain food place, (ex chef here) I was quite surprised. the vegetables weren't boiled and sitting all day. they were steamed just fir my order. the fish, although greasier than I like, was quite tasty. I believe the tartar was homemade, if not, I need that name brand.the Philly cheese steak was to die for. LOTS of cheese, and beef. mmmm.the wait staff, although they were both great (2 different visits) were running their @$$e$ Off as they were only one. One wait staff for a hwy restaurant is crazy. but they both held it together and did great earning 30% tips. Muy Bueno Hermosa Senorita, I'll be back.

We were staying in Golden and needed a quick pit stop for breakfast before hitting the road. Ricky’s seemed like a good choice since they opened earlier than some of the other breakfast options downtown which didn’t open until 9am or 10am.I got the Classic Double Egger with two eggs over medium, white toast, bacon, and hashbrowns. The hashbrowns are just how I like them: thinly cut, golden brown on top, and greasy. Affordable prices and friendly staff. Right off the Trans-Canada 1 convenient for travelers.

Great experience, food was really yummy, ordered the grand forks breakfast, sausage was amazing! Waitress was really nice and personable. Definitely will be coming back to this rickys! Very pleased! Great value!

Wanted to support this business but it sucks and is super disappointing. They only had one server named Alexanjra she wasn’t that helpful. She tried as this place is short staffed. We ordered the fish and shrimp platter and the fish was way overdone. I will not be going back and would not recommend anyone to go here. We sent the fish back thinking they would remake it only for them to not. They offered for us to order something else on the menu but after having the kitchen mess something up as easy as fish and chips I didn’t want to. They gave my husband and I about a tablespoon of coleslaw as well which is ridiculous. For a chain restaurant my experience was super disappointing. Shrimp wasn’t bad but it’s something that is probably premade from Sysco or gfs that they fry so it’s hard to mess up. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS PLACE. If you want to go to a chain the McDonalds in Golden makes great fries lol.

I'll start with the only positive.The server had a great personality and was working her butt off. She was basically on her own looking after the entire room. I didn't catch her name, though she was from Mexico. Super nice.There was a group of us, 6 in total. Most people's food was just ok. Nothing great. Myself and a friend got fish and chips and it was very likely the worst f&c I have ever had. It came out looking like a decent sized cod fillet, but definitely was mostly batter. The batter was greasy and very thick, and the fish tasteless, neither of us enjoyed it. I opted to get 10 shrimp with mine, which were also very poor.The worst part of this was that I was up all night in the bathroom with an off stomach. Then after breakfast (at our destination hotel) I ended up being sick.We didn't complain at the time, we just ate and ran as we had a long journey. It was during this drive that I started feeling sick.Oh well, it is what it is.

We came to this restaurant two nights in a row. The environment here is spacious and clean, and the service is warm. The dishes ordered were all delicious, the sweet and sour chicken was especially juicy and tender, and the pancakes were baked very crispy.
I was seated, and waitress took my drink order. 15 minutes later still no tea. But she had time to talk and stand around.She came to my table 18 mins later and asked to take my order. I said no, I would like the tea I order 18 mins ago. She goes away comes back 2 mins later. I'm sorry we ran out of tea, I'll take your order now. I said no thanks,I'll go across the street.
