My uncle had a horse once named Beef Dip, that would bite through cans to drink the beer. An expedition doctor named James Hector, a (Proctologist) purchased that horse and was allegedly kicked in the chest by it as they attempted to cross the swift flowing river accross from a tavern called Riverhouse. Unfortunately Beef Dip got put down but, the story goes that the gost of this horse is still around, and as you sit enjoying the best beef dip EVER, you can sometimes hear the harsh coughing in the distance as though someone has been kicked in the chest by that horse.
We’ve been two days in Golden and we’ve been there both days! The food is home made, super tasty! We had Roast beef as the special of the day and it was awesome. The next night we had a couple of fire wood made pizzas and wow! They’re very good and big! The staff is super nice and the atmosphere is great!

Good local qwerky pub serving food and local drinks. I didn't have any food here but can say that the food i seen coming out of the kitchen looked really tasty. Nice range of drinks and good service.

I can not stress enough how blown away I was from the service my girlfriend and I had today for lunch. Cooks were able to accommodate food and the server was top tier with all aspects even when it got busier. Definitely recommend!
Goldens best dive bar, hire more staff! Waitress was clearly upset during dinner rush on taco Tuesday. We didn't get our order of drinks or asked if we want more food. She was overworked.

Ordered pizza from here last Friday night, one of the worst I've ever had and a total waste of money! It was paper thin and barely cooked, there was next to no sauce or cheese and hardly any toppings! My hubby ordered the beef dip which wasn't so bad, however his 'tossed side salad', other than being pathetic, had mostly rotten spinach... like ecoli rotten (the picture really doesn't do it justice). I think this place is far over rated from the hoards of obnoxious, loud, drunk tourists.
