Generally speaking, I've been in love with A&W since they moved to real cheese a few years ago. Best fast-food burger joint by a mile.
That said, not all locations are created equal. This location in particular does a consistently good job with the food. The burgers tend to taste fresher, the hashbrowns are crispier, and the fries are usually 👌. Other locations in the province have let me down but these guys consistently deliver.
There's a gentleman that works the window/counter here regularly (James) who consistently delivers exceptional customer service -- polite, efficient, competent.

Wow, I have never received such substandard service at a fast food restaurant before.
I arrived, ready to make my order – the person working was busy with Drive-through. I quickly used the washroom. I came out and resumed my position at the counter, no else waiting.
The workers had their back to me while they were readying other orders, for all of ten minutes. I tried to say hello, and I was just told that everybody was too busy to take my order. I am on a fairly tight schedule, and so I left, thanking the workers for their hospitality.

We waited for 25 min in drive thru for just 1 burger in the morning.Very much slow service.We understand that but it’s not even summer .Please work on it guys.Hire more staff or efficient staff. All the cars in the drive thru were complaining. All the best please work on it.

By far the worst food I have ever recieved from A&W in forty yrs. I think we were in line for 10-15 minutes with 1 car in front. My husband ordered a chubby chicken w/fries & I ordered a papa burger w/cheese & fries. Lettuce was a slimy pile on top over a piece of breaded chicken that was so dry he couldn't swallow it. Mine had no cheese & bun was dry. I thought waiting so long it would be fresh but it was not. For 2 burgers & 2 med fries we were charged over $28. Terrible food & price. We were traveling so couldn't go back to complain. Do better A&W. You were the only fast food I could eat occasionally but I think I'll steer clear from now on. We would love a refund.....

Food was ok but not as good as previous. I think the prices went up because teen, double teen fries and a root beer was 28 bucks. Not sure it's worth eating at fast food burger joints anymore.
