food was just ok. so was the service, which basically came down to serving the plates ( you bring the drinks and bring back the plates). a bit annoying that you need to rent a board game even when you dine there.
We loved this cafe and visited twice over our two-day visit to the Grand Forks area. The staff - and the other customers! - were kind and friendly, the food was delicious and selections extensive, and the Wizard’s Brew (I may have the name a bit wrong) was amazing. We loved the opportunity to play some of our favourite board games, relax, and plan our next adventures in the beautiful Kootenays.
Good service. Good quality food. Wonderful concept. Nice atmosphere. Very clean. Portions are definitely on the smaller side, as other reviewers have noted. It was very busy when we ate there, so not too surprising that a few items in our order for five people were a little lukewarm when they arrived, though still tasty. Wishes: I’d love to see an adult sized grilled cheese on the menu and to have them reinstate their delicious coconut tomato soup :-)
