We got the masala bowl and the roaster panini. It was really delicious even though we had to wait about half an hour since it was lunch time. When we left there was a much longer line to get food. It’s probably the best spot to grab a bite in Grand Forks.

They messed up my order and served me food I couldn't eat. They don't have servers, and there were no employees around to talk to. Seemed like the only way to talk to an employee was to stand in line again for 15 minutes. I wasn't going to make my group wait an extra half hour to get my food, so we left and I bought a sandwich at the grocery store instead. Having tipped in advance made me feel extra robbed by this disappointing experience.

Love the wooden spoon but breakfast this morning was uncharacteristically disappointing. Had the chilaquiles bowl and there was little evidence of salsa verde or chimichurri. It was basically fried eggs on tortilla chips with cilantro. Not sure if this is normal for chilaquiles but, if it is, I’d steer clear and order one of their Benedict’s. Coffee is great and service is good (mind you nobody checked on us to see how breakfast was). Sorry, should’ve taken a photo. But it was pretty underwhelming.

Going to the wooden spoon for breakfast or lunch isn’t just a great option, it’s an absolute necessity when visiting the kootenays. It is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever visited. A very easy 5/5.

Amazing amazing food! I wish we had a spot like this in Nelson 💕I had the Bahn mi and was blown away at how flavourful it was. I can’t wait to try more on the menu! Thank you. Great service and ambience even though I was just picking up. Would love to be able to stay in and eat next time.
