Basecamp Burger Joint

Loved their burgers! Mushroom & Swiss cheese burger was the bomb, juicy & good balance of chesse, meat, bun & veges. This place definitely is one of the top burger shacks I have ever been to. My friend says that it was better than the Gordon Ramsey burger, which is almost double the price.

Yam fries & onion rings were alright, but poutine for extra +$5 was definitely worth it, with plenty of melted cheese curds.

The staff was very friendly & welcoming, not so lively but rather calm atmosphere.

One downside is that there are no beer on tap, just cans.

Strongly recommend this place for a group of 4 or smaller!

Had the pleasure of trying this place as it was close to the hotel I was staying at-- what a gem this place is! Sonya was serving us and she was so kind and created a warm friendly environment that felt cozy and welcoming! And the FOOD! I kid you not, best burger I have ever had in my life! Please go here if you're thinking about it! You will not be disappointed!

We stayed at the Spa Motel next door (right above this restaurant) and apparently Motel guests get a 15% discount! The Basecamp Eggs Benedict and Cinnamon French Toast were absolutely incredible and they came with a salad that had the most spectacular dressing! Very well-rounded for a breakfast meal:) We were in a bit of a rush and they accommodated us by bringing out our food very fast! Overall, super cozy and small cabin-style space right by the lake!

Had a really great experience here. Got the mushroom Swiss burger and a poutine. Probably the best burger I’ve ever had. You can tell the chef puts a lot of effort into making everything perfect! The server ( Sonya ) was very cheerful and made the experience that much better! She was very helpful and had informative suggestions. All in all, I’ll be back!

We came on a beautiful Saturday morning and they were completely full. They swiftly brought us to the cute Cafe next door. Within a minute Alanna, our server was taking our orders. She had a fantastic server personality genuine and fast paced. The food was quick and high quality. Definitely recommend.

My partner and I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at base camp this morning! The restaurant had a wonderful vibe, cozy blankets and beautiful artwork. Our waitress was absolutely lovely and the food was fantastic. Thanks for the great experience!
