John Fish & Chips

I think this had the best fish and chips I've ever had. The fish batter is light and crispy, quite like a tempura batter.
DELICIOUS! FAST!
It doesn't look like much on the corner of the road in a trailer, but the fish and chips are amazing and well, well worth the stop.

Shockingly great food, very unexpected. No frills but fish and chips was simple, crisp and delicious. Asian dishes were also really good, yakisoba with so much meat and different vegetables in them, spring rolls were super crisp and tasty too. Very unexpected and shocked that it was so good.

Ordered the 2 piece cod. Got a load of fresh deliciousness that was perfect for sharing. The takeaway box was stuffed!

The cod pieces were large. The batter was light and crispy. The fries were thick and crisp as well. The salad included cucumber, cherry tomato, and strawberry. The box was packed nicely with tartar sauce, ketchup, salad dressing, and lemon.

There is a patio area for seating, but as it's currently beside road construction which can't be helped, the perfect plan is to take the food to a nearby bench or picnic table.

That’s what I’m talking about. The beef yakisoba was hot and delicious. Easily the best single serve take out meal I’ve had in Harrison.

John is a man of few words because the food speaks for itself. I can't emphasize enough how these were some of the best fish & chips I've ever had. Fresh, crispy, and delicious. It's a one man show - he does it all himself so have some patience and grace and you'll be rewarded with a fantastic meal. I went twice while I was in Harrison because it felt criminal to only go once. Also, after reading some negative reviews I just wanted to say the man behind the counter is quiet but hard working. Anyone complaining about his attitude probably had an attitude problem themselves, he's just a no BS kind of guy.

The best fish and chips I’ve ever had… and I have had a lot! Wow. Who would have thought I’d stumble upon this little take out window restaurant for one of the best meals I’ve had. The fries were cut fresh, the fish portion was big and perfect crisp and the salad Japanese style was refreshing. The sauces are packed and the portions are worth it.

It is very rare to have this experience these days. I hope the one man stand stays open for long!

Barely 80g of fish in one piece and soo greasy. $20 feels like a lot. Fries were really good though.

We waited for 5 minutes with no staff acknowledging us, so we went back to our hotel. I called three times, and on the third attempt someone finally answered—only to hang up on us when we asked to place a takeout order. Very disappointing experience. We’ll be taking our business elsewhere.

Basically a take away with picnic benches outside on the side of the road. The chef is not very friendly but the food is fantastic. Highly recommend. Will come back here for sure!! The hours are not what Google said they were... food service stopped before 6 on the weekday we were there...

Went here in the past and enjoyed it but not today. The owner gave all other patrons an extra piece of fish but not us, not sure why. Fish was greasy and less French fries. Also it was quite pricey even for todays’s terms. Not recommended
