Quick to find a seat, and it was nice to see pictures on the menus. I’m not a fan of mandatory tipping but they did make it very clear on signage and on the menus. Oddly enough though while paying they didn’t add any tip - not sure what to make of that.

One bowl can be enough food for two people as the portions are large. That makes for good value.

The fried rolls are quite greasy which was a bit off putting. The salad rolls are quite tasty and definitely the healthier option.

The fried pork was delicious and it was all good - no excessively fatty or chewy pieces like I have had at some places.

The salad was great. It’s a refreshing meal after a day at the beach. Inside the restaurant is pretty dark and the bathroom needs to be kept up better.

Overall a good experience and I’d recommend it.

I recently dined at this restaurant with three friends and overall, it was an average experience. The food was about fair, but I was disappointed with the billing process. When the waitress brought the bill, I couldn’t clearly hear her due to her accent, and I didn’t want to interrupt or seem rude. Because I wanted to host the meal, I paid quickly and added a 15% tip, which brought the total to around $120.
It was only afterward that my friend pointed out that a 15% gratuity was already included in the bill. I was surprised and a bit frustrated because all four of us never heard the waitress mention that. When I asked if the tip could be adjusted, the staff told me it wasn’t possible because it was indicated in the menu and the waitress had mentioned it. The owner confirmed this saying that they wouldn’t adjust the tip.
While I recognize it was my mistake not to check the bill more carefully or clarify earlier, I believe I should have had the opportunity to reconsider my tip after being informed. Paying twice the amount for 4 bowls of noodles and 2 rice rolls—totaling around $120—felt excessive for a quick, casual meal, especially when the gratuity was already included.
I hope the restaurant can improve their communication and billing clarity to avoid misunderstandings like this in the future. The experience left me a bit disappointed, and I wanted to share this perspective so others can be better informed.

Warning: they charge you a mandatory gratuity fee of 15%. I never knew it was legal to charge a mandatory gratuity fee on your bill in BC. Definitely not going back. The service and the food was not worth to tip 15%.

5 Stars!
Today we went with 5 kids and they were so accommodating!
Had such a wonderful experience at pho ho! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive—checking in on us just the right amount without being overbearing. They made sure our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed throughout the meal.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food… absolutely delicious. You can tell the team takes pride in both the kitchen and the service. It felt like they really cared about our experience. Can’t wait to come back

It felt as though somebody had only visually seen what Vietnamese food looked like in photos without ever having actually tasted it... Then trying to recreate it!

Maybe they used to have passion for food before, but certainly not anymore. I don't recommend it unless you're desperate. Everything was bland, plus they charge 15% forced tip, even for groups of 2-3 people.

Further, at 3pm they said some of their items were already sold out for the day. Won't be going back. 3-Stars is generous because it's likely a family business and I'm not going to go lower than that to mess with their livelihood.

Really, it's just under 2 stars, though. For positives: food came quickly, looks clean, staff are friendly. Portions are also pretty good.

Reasonable prices compared to other restaurants in the other area. Really good food too! Decent vegan / plantbased options

They charged $0.45 for one small fresh chili. The food wasn't good too. Never come back to this place.

When I checked out, they charged me the bill with already 15% tips added directly. But they let me pick the tips again. It’s misleading, and made I thought the 15% tips was not added yet, so I added 15% tips again. When I later found out the number is not right for the food and asked the owner. She rudely said I picked the tips again by myself. And said if I want to add a comment, go ahead and do whatever I want to.

Not recommended. The Pho quality is average at best, and there's an important detail about tipping that customers should know: there's a handwritten note indicating an automatic 15% gratuity is added to all bills. We missed this notice and ended up double-tipping, which made our meal significantly more expensive than intended.

The pricing structure and automatic gratuity should be clearly communicated to customers, preferably through proper signage or menu notation rather than a handwritten note. While I understand restaurants have had to adapt their policies over time, better communication would help avoid customer confusion.

For the quality and value, I'd recommend exploring other restaurants in the area.
