Wanted 45 mins for eggs. No one in restaurant.

I ordered the Chicken Mushroom Omelette and the Chicken Avocado Omelette. Both plates came out very hot, which tells me they were sitting too long in the expo. We ordered early, but other tables who came after us got their food first, and ours was delayed again.

I also ordered chicken tenders, and they clearly had old and new pieces mixed. They smelled off, and when I told our server Jamie, she said, “Yeah, it’s fine.” I asked her to remove them, and she said she would but still charged me.

I paid, but after this experience, I won’t be returning.

Stopped in for late lunch on the way home to edmonton from vancouver and there was some movie / film crew looking at the location and walking around inside the restaurant carrying their dogs in their arms with them. Never seen people walking around carrying their dog with a complete disregard for people eating

We used to go to Ricky’s Hope right after they opened, for a weekly breakfast. Food great, service great. However, hours posted online said open at 7 a.m., but a note on the door always said 8:00. So we went along with that for a few visits until one day we had to stand outside on the sidewalk until 8:20 with about 6 other people, and so we left. We’re not sure what time they finally opened.

For the record, we have a few breakfast restaurants in Hope that all open around 7 a.m. consistently. Why put up with this inconsistency when there are half a dozen great breakfast restaurants in Hope.

Today after about a 2 year absence, we decided to go back to Ricky’s again - for a change. I phoned the restaurant last night to check on their opening hours, and the fellow on the phone assured me they always open at 7. So this morning we were there at 7:15 only to find a handwritten note on the door that said they weren’t opening until 7:30 today. We left and went elsewhere (again).

When I called them, a fellow said he wasn’t initially aware of that, but then said one of the morning staff said they had to leave to go pickup supplies. Really?

Wow. What a disorganized, poorly run restaurant. Good chance we’ll never bother to go back again. They are much too unreliable. Too bad, but….you wonder about what else is inconsistent and poorly done if the hours are so unreliable.

Went to have supper at 6:45 pm 30 Dec 2024 and the doors are locked. Must be nice to have all that money you don’t need to stay open. Remember that there are other options around.

Great restaurant, but they should have an eastbound Ricky’s sign on the highway. If you don’t know exactly where it is, you’re past the entrance before you see the restaurant.

Used to be good staff will not answer the phone to places an order in the evening. Used to get food there all the time. But can't plan on them being open or answering the phone

I have frequented this store many times and have always enjoyed the food and coffee. The last two times I’ve been in, the coffee was so bad, I spit it back into the cup, as did my dining partner. We were informed that there was a new coffee. Well, when you go back to your previous coffee, that was delicious, let me know, then I’ll return as a regular.

Again, it was a pleasant visit. Food was good. And even though it was busy. The staff did great.

Recommend, a great stop while travelling, family friendly.
I don't know if all Ricky's restaurants have upgraded, but this is not the mediocre Ricky's from my childhood. Both my husband and I were surprised at the quality or the food that was provided. We both ordered deep fried chicken type of sandwiches. I would compare the burger to something you'd order from a higher end restaurant. Both sandwich/burgers were stacked, loaded, fresh, and the chicken was super crispy. I failed to take a picture, but I recalled that it looked on par with a picture of what restaurants usually try to trick you with. We'll definitely go back here. There's also grass spaces outside with picnick tables and another grass space for pets. It's a very convenient stop along with other amenities such as gas station, electric charges, and convenience store.

Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly.
