Barcelos Flame Grilled Chicken- Kelowna

We tried the chicken and the sandwich. Both were really good. Service was really great considering a chicken place.

Went there today and couldn't believe it. This was my interaction.
Me: I would like half chicken meal
Employee: that will be 40-50 min wait as we are out of chicken.
Me: what? Isn't that the whole thing here, chicken?!?!
Employee: ya it's in the oven
Me: isn't it supposed to be flame grilled?!?!
Employee: *blank stare*

Might go back but I thought this whole interaction was crazy so I had to write review.
1)Pretty sure chicken doesn't take 40-50 min to cook in oven.
2) this was Wednesday Aug 21 around 4pm so figure it wasn't too busy as there was about 3 tables in there when I went in

My Family loves Barcelos but this place made it horrible experience for us. The Customer Service was awful no welcoming whatsoever. My Mother in law couldn’t eat chicken and its her first time trying Barcelos, She asked if they have any other protein options besides chicken…. Ramanpreet the Cashier she seems not very happy as she responded its on the screen and you can read it. ??? and after we ordered.. they are loudly speaking with their language… we aren’t coming back to this place. If we want barcelos will find a different location

This place is loosing the quality with time. Packed a very raw avocado in my peri peri chicken bowl. The chicken was dry and did not taste like anything. I called back to let the staff know and was met with an excuse that the shipment of avocados they received were all raw. Then don't force the customer s to eat them raw!! Don't charge us for raw avocados, and let us know and allow us to choose. Please appreciate if a customer calls up and provides feedback instead of making excuses. Your charge well for the food, please meet the expectations in terms of taste and customer care.

Food is great but service is so unpleasant makes you uncomfortable. And the bathrooms are disgusting, looks like they haven’t been cleaned in months.

This is a regular side salad with chicken. Are you kidding me? At best a side portion. Best part, all of this goodness for $20.

This is completely unacceptable and I’m done with Barcelos.

What a great place for a relaxing meal. The food is delicious. The onion rings were the best we have ever had. Really crunchy. The spice I just right.

Parking: It is in a strip mall plenty of free parking.

First time visit was on a Monday at supper time. The restaurant was empty. The person who took our order was very difficult to understand and made no attempt to change her enunciation or the volume of her voice, in spite of having to repeat everything she said at least 3 times. Her associate who delivered the food to our table was great.
The chicken is tasty and cooked to perfection. The hot sauce if HOT. But they have 3 levels, so that covers everyone.
The grilled vegetables were good. Nothing exciting in terms of taste, but plenty of then.
The garlic toast was bland and doughy.
The advertise but do not sell draught beer.
Value for money - fair.
Would I go back...probably

The food is great. The roasted chicken is flavored and the sides are tasty too. Quick service and not a busy place.

We were very impressed. Food was delicious. Loved the flame grilled chicken. Portion for cost was good. Looking forward to trying other dishes. We ordered mild seasoning, going to try medium now, looking for a bit more heat.
