“We were visiting for a week and had to find gluten free sensitive restaurants for my celiac lactose intolerant friend. What a wonderful experience! The restaurant was full inside and we sat comfortably outside at the picnic tables. It was a Saturday night and it was fun watching the young people walking up and down Bernard Ave. We ordered chips and guacamole as a starter. The guacamole was a smooth version and so delicious. We were encouraged to try the salsa bar and the choices were delicious. We shared the camarones and it was the perfect size because we wanted to save room for the ch-ch-churros. The churros were absolutely wonderful! There is always the concern that gluten free foods will be bland and not very appealing. There should not be no concerns that everyone can share the same foods. \n\nSometimes a casual restaurant provides casual service. The service was impeccable. The manager and the server were attentive and generous. They came outside regularly to see how we were doing and to ensure that we had fresh water and napkins. This was an experience I have not had for a long time in Vancouver. We will be back!”

Dinner did not disappoint! Our server Steven was wonderful, the atmosphere was very nice and the food was 10/10. I ordered the Sautéed Mexican Wild Caught Prawns with rice and it was so flavorful and cooked perfectly! Next time I'm in Kelowna, I'll be back!”

I got the cod fish and chips and the fish was light and crispy on the outside and it wasn't greasy at all, the fries were so good, they were perfect, crunchy ok the outside and fluffy on the inside, I'd drive the seven hours just to eat this again. The tartar sauce was delicious along with the coleslaw that was so fresh. The service was amazing and it wasn't busy when we had gone in and got 2 orders of the fish and chips and a chicken sandwich and we didn't wait long at all. Overall amazing and I would definitely come back!”

“It’s hard to resist a traditional A&W Root Beer in the heat of the summer! This location in the heart of Kelowna across from Orchard Park mall was worth taking the time to right a review! There are a lot of tempting new menu items and new drinks too and I really should come back for some of those but on a hot day I REALLY just wanted an icy cold root beer! I did go a further stretch and had the latest frozen root beer and it is a struggle which one to pick now! Along with the rootbeer I the classic cut fries were great and I think it was maybe the owner / franchisee serving us. I should have got her name. She was awesome. This may be fast food but she paid complete attention to customer service and made my day. I also noticed that she did the same with each of the guests following us and then made her rounds in the restaurant tidying up and getting things back in order between guests. Everything was very clean. The food was hot and the drinks cold.”

When I got to the drive through I couldn’t get the the right words to my order out and and i apologized saying its been a rough day and that the words were just not coming to me and that i was going to try again. When I got to the window, the girl there (I wish I got her name!) had said “you’re having a rough day, it’s on us.” That immediately boosted my mood, and I am so thankful for her kindness! It is crazy how a simple kind thing done by a stranger can make such a difference, thank you again!”

For a $450.00 dinner would never go back.”

“My boyfriend and I moved to Glenmore a year ago, and it was instantly date night spot. We have tried everything on the menu and everything is 10/10 delicious. We moved to the complete opposite side of Kelowna and still drive across the city once a week because, we just can’t get enough ! We talk about this place every day. Plus everyone who works here is so so friendly. Our go to meal every time is the DB flatbread, the brisket Mac and cheese, and sometimes the pretzel cheese dip or Perogies. Super affordable, our bill is never more than $65 (amazing in this city) We are a little sad recently as they changed the DB recipe. Don’t know if we will be coming back as often now because of this because we stick to what we really like. The flavours of the old DB was a lot better in our opinion. But we will still rave about this place to others ! (You should bring the old one back though haha)”

“I’m speaking about the Surrey Central restaurant. 1. Our party of 4 was served their hot food on on absolutely ice cold metal trays, these trays were so cold!!!- the only explanation I could think of is the metal trays were next to a wide open window or door- outside temp. was 0 degrees. The hot food was only a 1/2” of height in each of the trays ‘bowls’ so was lukewarm very quickly- the cold trays stayed cold throughout and made our meal uncomfortable for sure! 2. We were, I shudder to say, rudely served our food one tray at a time, a minute or so apart, on the only open spot on the table in front of one of our party, with the only announcement being what was served on that tray- no asking by the server who ordered the food item so the orders could be properly served. I had enough of this by the 4th tray and… 3.I raised my concerns to more or less speechless servers (they were going through their breaks) about the concerns, so an apology was never uttered by the servers. 4. The only moments when servers were somewhat interested in our party’s experience was when they’d ask how’s everything, ‘on the fly’ without ever stopping to give eye contact to anyone in our party! I’m not going to give our entire experience a negative rating only because the food flavour and freshness was excellent- but the above 4 items should be addressed- if not by the chef or maitre’d, then perhaps by the HR dept.”

Booth seating is cozily private, & the youthful staff are surprisingly competent & focused on good service/ teamwork.
Last time there (mid-Aug) at 4:30 the place was buzzing - by 5pm it was chock-full of hungry fams, which may explain the lack of a check-back after getting our meals: a small point in the grand scheme..”

“I can't speak to some of the criticisms but I just spent three weeks in Kelowna's North End recertifying my base paramedic level and found this coffee place on Richter. It hit all the right notes. A small,, simple, unpretentious set up in a working neighbourhood with great staff who knew how to make my favourite coffee (a double long espresso run through there times) at a great price. Next time I am town I will go there again and have already told a few folks. And for the record, I tried several trendy places downtown and they all paled in comparison.”

“Went there twice in a row during this trip! The first time, we grabbed butter chicken slices and the beef slices. Both were very good. The second time we did the $12 medium with unlimited toppings takeout deal. The deal was great value for the money. What I liked most about the pizzas is the crunchy on the outside but airy on the inside non-greasy crust. The service was friendly and fast. Definitely recommended.”
