I love this little place. It's soo cozy and just lovely! I visited while in Kelowna recently. That Vanilla Chestnut Ale is a thing of Beauty and I'm not an Ale guy. I would like to revisit in the summer and have more of a hazy, creamy IPA, the one or two on tap, weren't for me. But 5* none the less. The staff were friendly & welcoming. We had the pretzel and cured pepp stick which were very nice.
It does get busy, so try to get in before peak times.

Food: lots of options for food from bakery and pop up trucks nearby. We had the sausage rolls, smarty cookie, and brownie, all were really good and priced fairly, most things were not over priced. Also can be heated up in oven which is really nice. You can bring food in from outside and get ramen from truck delivered to u inside the restaurant

Upstairs loft has couches and bigger tables for groups. Really unique decor, board games available and live music. The music was sooo good, and it’s a really cozy place. Also a projector playing the sports game in one area

We recently hosted our company’s 5-year anniversary event at Barn Owl, and the experience was fantastic. The team was incredibly accommodating, the Loft space was beautiful, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Our guests loved the atmosphere, and Natalie and Gary were wonderful to work with. Highly recommend Barn Owl for events or just a great place to gather.

Fantastic beer- I’m a sucker for sour beers and their sour cherry did NOT disappoint! Of note- they don’t have a kitchen, but are great about letting folks bring their own food and encourage you to order from nearby local kitchens. They have food trucks on site too! We brought our dog and they had a fantastic shaded patio with a water dish for our pup- she was so happy to chill with us while we hung out on a hot afternoon. Oh, and did I mention the boardgames?!? Plenty of entertainment for everyone in our group! This will definitely be a repeat stop for us any time we’re in Kelowna!

The barn owl has been our local for 4 years now and we love it. Great staff, great beer and a real community spirit that is hard to find. Their beer garden is a sun trap, but with plenty of umbrellas for those that want shade. They have a games cupboard in the loft which is always fun. It’s has a real ‘heart of the village’ vibe to it that reminds me of pubs back home in the UK.
