Fantastic beer- I’m a sucker for sour beers and their sour cherry did NOT disappoint! Of note- they don’t have a kitchen, but are great about letting folks bring their own food and encourage you to order from nearby local kitchens. They have food trucks on site too! We brought our dog and they had a fantastic shaded patio with a water dish for our pup- she was so happy to chill with us while we hung out on a hot afternoon. Oh, and did I mention the boardgames?!? We love the barn owl, when we want to relax, have a great conversation, just work a little or have a beer, we go here. Great beer selection and service, is not so pricey. Parking is terrible during pick ours.
The barn owl has been our local for 4 years now and we love it. Great staff, great beer and a real community spirit that is hard to find. Their beer garden is a sun trap, but with plenty of umbrellas for those that want shade. They have a games cupboard in the loft which is always fun. It’s has a real ‘heart of the village’ vibe to it that reminds me of pubs back home in the UK.
