I had dinner there last night and we weren't disappointed with our time there. Very friendly, engaging and obliging service but there was a couple of hiccups in service including slow wine delivery and lack of wine knowledge - difference in Pino Grigio and Pinot Noir but corrected right away. Very helpful by taking us through the back door to the warm and free parkade. The food was great and to the liking of most of my guests. My Chicken Parma was great. Disappointed in the 3 Daft beer selections and even tried 2. Not inexpensive by any stretch but nonetheless we look forward to going back and recommending to anyone.

This place is a wonderful spot to treat yourself to a nice dinner. We had a great time being served by Mark, and will be back to sit at his bar and order the Mexican Prawns again.

Basil and Mint: A Study in Polished Comfort and Stellar Service
Our recent visit to Basil and Mint on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, confirmed its status as a cornerstone of Kelowna’s sophisticated dining scene. From the moment of arrival, the tone was set by a professional and swift greeting, leading to a table where the laid-back ambiance and, crucially, the perfect acoustics ensured conversation could flow effortlessly—a rare and treasured quality in modern restaurants.
However, the true mastery of the evening belonged to our server, Mark-Eduardo. For a foodie audience, service is less about delivery and more about curation, and Mark-Eduardo proved to be a genuine maestro. His attention was exemplary—present exactly when needed, never intrusive, and always balanced by enjoyable, witty banter that made us feel welcomed rather than merely waited upon. He didn't just facilitate the meal; he elevated the entire experience, turning dinner into a relaxed, personal occasion.
Opting for a sharing plate journey, our meal began with the Full Beet Salad. This was far from typical: the earthy sweetness of the beets provided a beautiful base. This was served with a generous side of garlic bread and a presentation of balsamic vinegar and high-quality olive oil, perfectly arranged for dipping the crisp bread and offering a bright counterpoint to the richer plates to follow.
We progressed into a series of richer savouries. The Duck Liver Paté was luxurious—velvety smooth and intensely flavored, demonstrating a confidence in classical technique. Following this, the combination of Scallops and Prosciutto offered a fantastic interplay of the sea’s sweetness and the salt-cured depth of the ham. Concluding our savoury flight was the comforting heft of the Hand Rolled Meat Balls, a perfect, rich, and grounding finale that speaks to authentic, heart-felt cooking.
The entire journey was partnered perfectly by a bottle of the Road 13 Honest John Red wine, a bold, yet approachable choice that held up wonderfully against the diverse profiles of the sharing plates.
Basil and Mint offers a rare and successful alchemy: high-quality, thoughtful food served within an atmosphere designed for human connection, all expertly guided by service that shines. Ask for Mark-Eduardo; he’s the secret ingredient.

We were recommended a different place to for my birthday dinner but after I looked around at different restaurants in Kelowna I decided on Basil and Mint. And it did not disappoint.
I loved the ambience, the light music, our server Daisy was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommendations. Our dinner was delicious and will definitely be returning whenever we are back in Kelowna.

Wonderful meal at Basil and Mint last night. We felt immediately welcomed by the excellent staff and the comfortable environment. Three of us ordered from the prix fixe menu and we can highly recommend the pear salad, the pork tenderloin and the absolutely divine steelhead trout. We were extremely well looked after by our charming server Diego, who helped make the evening even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Came to this lovely spot while on a business trip and the vibe is incredible, the staff are top notch, and their knowledge of both the menu, drinks and description will make you appreciate you the eloquent service. If you are coming to Kelowna, this is a must see location. Shout to Marc behind the bar who can make you a mean Cosmo with his special touch, and shout out to the restaurant manager Chris who knows how to create the vibe whether you are a local, or visiting like myself. Keep it going gents!

This place is a gem, beautiful outdoor seating and indoor booths. Quiet ambiance is delightful for conversations. I highly recommend the delicious Sable fish cooked in lobster bisque accompanied with rice/veggies. Our friends raved the pizzas and Cesar salads. The meatball spaghetti not so great but 5 out of 6 happy campers is fine. Okanagan Tinhorn wine was very nice. Scott and the team of servers were exceptional! Thankyou for an enjoyable evening, good service and great eats! We shall return!

Visited in August for dinner. Restaurant was quite large but seemed empty. Had the 3-course meal for $55 which included the seasonal soup and Vanilla Creme Brulee.
The seasonal soup was potato bacon. Not too bad. Large portion and smooth purée. Kinda wish the bacon was more chunky to give it some textural contrast. The Braised Boneless Short Ribs were tender but lacked a bit of flavour. It could have used more onions to punch it up. The Vanilla Creme Brulee had a good silky smooth texture under the crackle.
Also had their Signature Caesar Salad ($18) plus chicken (+$13) and Raspberry and Mango Italian Soda ($10 each).
Service was a bit awkward at times.

and disgusting. The service is terrible. You actually have to ask to be seated even though the whole restaurant is empty and there are no reservations. The only good thing here was the wine, simply because it wasn’t made in this place. In fact, calling this a restaurant would be a mistake.

We were a large group of 17, including 9 kids, and our original reservation at another restaurant fell through. On short notice, we called this place to see if they could accommodate us and they came through wonderfully. They graciously set us up in a private room at the back, which was perfect for our group.
The manager was incredibly friendly and engaging, doing a great job making everyone feel welcome. Although the food took a bit of time to arrive, they had let us know in advance when we called, so we appreciated the heads-up. They were also thoughtful enough to bring out the kids’ meals first, which made a big difference.
Overall, the food was delicious, and the service was warm and attentive. We were really impressed with how well they handled such a large group on short notice.
