Prices are way to high for being a bulk store, one can go on amazon and have stuff shipped for cheaper. As well as go to other stores where the iteam has packaging from the company, Bulk stores are supposed to be cheaper cause theres no packaging involed not at this store

I wouldn’t even give 1 star but it is the only way to access writing a review. I too will never return to this store. We frequently buy sourdough flour and yeast there for our Black and Decker bread maker and we had the occasion where the bread did not rise. My wife bakes all the time and we have never experienced this before. So we thought perhaps a mistake on our part on the portions and we carefully mixed up another batch. Same result. Would not rise. At this point we researched all the possibilities for this type failure and came up with my first guess : old yeast which was fresh, bought at that store and had worked on the previous loaf of bread. The next possibility Google said which I was surprised was old flour. So because we also had some plain white flour for bread we thought we’ll try this with the same yeast and it rose and baked a beautiful loaf. That meant the sour dough flour was old. The interesting thing about this whole event is that the sour dough bin had been almost empty but we did get enough to fill 1 bag which makes 3 loafs. My guess is they dumped the new flour on top of the remaining old flour. When I phoned to speak to the manager speaking quite diplomatically I might add, I could not get a word in edgewise. She just walled up and bilingerently talked over me and would not even listen to the turn of events. I told her she would do better to listen, mentioned she wouldn’t and wished her good day. Then I began to read the reviews. O M G. I had called to suggest a possibility so we could continue shopping there but if that is the treatment coming from management one is to expect if you do have a problem, no Thankyou. Life is too short. We do purchase other items at that store which I’m sure most people do but. We have decided to spend our money in a more deserving store. Best Regards Floyd. Kornigy

Wow! Lots of great stuff! Essentially, if it can be bought in bulk they likely have it. Some of the prices for non-dairy items are pricey, but the bulk prices make up for it. Lots of parking and easy to get to. Worth stopping snd shopping st even if its for just a couple of items.

This location is always under-staffed — half the time there’s no one at the till, which makes checking out frustrating. On top of that, when I opened one of the barrels, a fly actually flew out. Between the lack of staff and the hygiene issues, the experience was disappointing.

I gave a 1 only because the staff was very friendly and followed the management’s instructions responsibly.
I bought mixed nuts of different kinds in this store. And I’m glad I decided to try them before giving them to my child. The almonds were rancid, smelly, and old. In the photo you can even see traces/holes from worms.
While we were in the store, I noticed a young man transferring breakfast cereal from one box to another. And why? Because they mix old cereal with the new one.
This is simply outrageous.

I used to like shopping here but prices have risen very fast and stock is not always good. I went into the local store yesterday for baking cocoa. 2 bins for baking cocoa and both were empty. The person manning the store didn't seem all that concerned or interested in helping me.

This Canadian owned bulk food store has a wide variety of products, many at lower-than-grocery-store prices. Today I bought pretzel rods and monk fruit sweetener. For those with a sweet tooth, the candy selection provides lots of options. Bulk Barn is in the process of labeling Canadian products. I love that when I need a few tablespoons of a rarely-used spice I can buy only what I need. Less waste, minimal packaging, senior discount days!

Recently the service at Bulk Barn has deteriorated. The floors were filthy and there are now no pencils provided to write noon the bin #. Approached the cashier for a pencil and was told that they are too expensive to supply. Really???
