I wanted to share some feedback regarding an experience my boyfriend, a friend, and I had here recently. We had stopped in to grab a bite to eat before heading to a movie. My boyfriend is 19, but he didn’t have his ID on him because he wasn’t planning on drinking, he was simply there just to catch up.
We were greeted at the door being told to sit wherever we liked. As soon as we sat down we were asked for our IDs, which I thought was a little strange since we hadn't even had menus yet.
When I asked the server whether you have to be 19 to be in the establishment, I was told yes, and my boyfriend was asked to leave.
What confused and disappointed us was that, shortly after, we noticed several children coming inside and being served while accompanied by their guardians. When we asked about this, we were told it was allowed because they had adults with them. However, your website states that guests under 19 must be accompanied by someone 19 or older... which he was.
The issue wasn’t the ID requirement itself, but the inconsistency in how the policy was enforced. It felt unfair that he was removed while younger guests were allowed to remain under the same conditions your website outlines.
I’m not trying to complain just to complain, the situation simply didn’t sit right with me.
- My response
I understand your obligations as a liquor-primary establishment, and I’m not questioning the legal requirements. However, the issue here was not the law, it was the inconsistent and unclear communication from your staff.
When I asked the server if someone needed to be 19 to *be* in the establishment, I was told “yes,” with no mention of ID requirements for someone who simply *appears* 19. My boyfriend was asked to leave based on that explanation alone.
Immediately after, younger minors remained inside and were being served while accompanied by guardians. When we asked about this at the time, the explanation we were given was, “It’s fine because they have adults with them.” That directly contradicts the reasoning you are now providing. This disconnect between what your staff said in the moment and what you’re explaining now is exactly why the situation felt unfair.
If the actual issue was that he looked 19 and hadn’t brought ID, that should have been communicated clearly on-site. That clarity would have prevented the entire misunderstanding.
I appreciate you saying you’ll use the feedback to improve communication, but I do want to be very clear: the experience we had was the result of inconsistent information from your team, not a misunderstanding on our end.
Thank you for addressing this, and I hope future guests receive clearer guidance.

Just and okay experience for us. The server we got couldn't be bothered with us basically the whole time we were there and only decided to talk to us when we were ready to leave and asked to pay. Not the friendliest of experiences from the time we got there.
The nachos ($30) were not impressive at all. All ingredients were on the top and dry chips left over. Extra fees for sour cream and guac. not surprising but a necessity as the Nachos were dry.
The selection of beer is decent and the Caesar was good as well.
Overall, I'd probably pass and go somewhere else with the hopes that maybe it was just an off night for them.

Worst pizza ever had in my life. Was so embarrassing to take my Aunt visiting from Switzerland and uncle visiting from ontario… it was the crust, like a cracker with nice toppings though… but the crust was worse than a boxed pizza… to bad, cuz other food there wasn't so bad. But we decided on a pizza lunch and ordered 3 pizzas. We were starving so we put up with it and felt so gross after…should have gone to red bird
