If gay means happy, and no judgement is real, this place offers great entertainment.

Being at this bar made me feel like I'd entered a private party of friends who were super welcoming (and a little chaotic). 😂 We came on a quiet evening where there was no show, so they started up some impromptu karaoke and put some great tunes on so we could dance in our seats. The server chatted with us and started some banter through the room, so we felt like we were best pals with everyone by the time we left. Cocktails were yummy, and $5 shots after 9pm is great.

Kid-friendliness: 19+ venue

Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs inside or to get in front door.

I love the cheeky service from Josh, Tyler and Michaela are very hospitable feels like I've been coming here for years but as a new customer I'm very happy coming in on any night and blending in with whatever is going on. Very approachable and wonderful cocktails and good premium offerings too for a smaller business.

Went to drag brunch hosted by the awesomely talented and funny Dangerous D! What a fabulous time! Amazing food, delicious mimosas prepared and served by super welcoming, friendly, efficient staff and their creative, talented chef! Wow! All in all, a perfect experience that left us laughing, well fed and watered! Can't wait to go again! Highly recommend checking out the venue as well as catch a Dangerous D performance! You will not be disappointed!

I've visited Friends of Dorothy's in Kelowna several times, and each time has been exceptional. Josh, the bartender, truly makes the place special. He has a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcome and safe the moment they walk through the door. His warm smile and friendly conversation create an inclusive atmosphere where you can relax and be yourself. Josh takes the time to connect with each guest, ensuring that everyone feels part of the community he's helped foster. Plus, the chef serves up delicious food that perfectly complements the great drinks. If you're looking for a spot with amazing hospitality and mouthwatering dishes, Friends of Dorothy's is definitely worth a visit.

Went for an evening drag show. The show was amazing! We just had cocktails and there were good selection of options. The cocktails were a bit pricey ($20/drink) however they also had cans and non-alcoholic beverages as well.

Came to Dorothy’s a month ago for their drag brunch. The food was excellent, the performer wasn’t bad (Jokes were a bit repetitive at the end) but the service was appalling. $60 for a brunch is steep, especially a brunch where the service is nonexistent. We had to flag down the servers multiple times and we never even got what we requested. They were seriously understaffed.

We were told that the restaurant RAN OUT OF COFFEE AND CUTLERY. How does a BRUNCH place run out of COFFEE AND CUTLERY??? I had to resort to eating my delicious eggs Benny with my hands and my friend had to pour her some drink into my cup due to the lack of water. The decor of the place is super cute, the food was wonderful, but the manager needs to be fired and blacklisted from working in the food service industry.

Dorothy's venue is small and the show wasn't exactly sold out, but the staff were really friendly and the food was quite good. The performer, Sparkle, showed up late and was visibly unprepared and improvised her show - which she also said was the case a few minutes in. She did her best to engage the patrons, but being unscripted made the whole performance feel really awkward and her vibe was kinda messy. Her makeup was flawless but she took a genuine fall at one point and overall it was giving bad improv rather than fabulous. Overall not the experience we'd hoped, but for a different performer we would definitely go back!

We had booked a reservation for the Drag Brunch several weeks in advance for a bachelorette party (we were visiting from out of town), and told to arrive 15 minutes early 10:45am). Weather was questionable this weekend (May long), and we arrived at 10:45am as per the reservation. The employees setting up the patio told us that we didn’t need to show up until 11:00am, so we waited in our car for 15 minutes to wait out the rain. Returned at 11:00am only to be told (very rudely, and unapologetically) that we could not be seated as they put our reservation on the patio (we did not request for the patio), and due to the rain they couldn’t use the patio. They proceeded to tell us that the inside reservations were “prepaid” (when booking, there was no option to “prepay”), and that “they weren’t happy about it either” but couldn’t seat us. Unsure why the patio was open, when the forecast for the weekend was not great and it had been on/off raining all weekend prior to the brunch. They offered to book us for the following weekend, but we mentioned that we were from out of town and booked this for a bachelorette. Offered us a $10 voucher (???) as compensation, which we did not accept. The whole experience was awful, and really disappointing. The server was not at all apologetic, told us that “the person who was responsible was not working”, and basically just shooed us out.

However, 5 stars to the chef that came out to talk to us afterward (who commented on poorly the situation was handled), and gave us recommendations as to where to go instead. We ended up going to a wonderful place, based on their recommendation, and had a lovely time despite the poor service from Friends of Dorothy.

We went for the Saturday drag brunch. Pretty fun. Food was awesome. They were happy to veganize the breakfast sandwich for us. Drinks and coffee included in the show price

Vegetarian options: The menu was limited for brunch but they subbed avocado on the breakfast sandwich

Kid-friendliness: Not recommended for kids. It’s a drag show and had some “racy” content

My partner and I were here for Drag Brunch. We had the chicken and waffles with the mimosas.

The food and coffee were not great but the service and atmosphere was amazing.

We loved the drag performer (Ella). She was hilarious and entertaining. She connected with all of the audience members and made for a wonderful first time experience in Kelowna. Can’t wait to see her on Canada’s Drag Race ?️‍???

Awesome decor and arrangement. My wife would love to have them decorate our home! Welcoming, comfortable but also elegant.
Fantastic service, the GM served us and he was kind, catering and low key hilarious. Very insightful and experienced.
Food was absolutely fantastic! We are big fans of chef James "chefy poo" and he delivered. Some of the best food we've had in a long time. We will be telling our friends and we will be back again.

Thanks Joshua and Shaun for a fabulous time. We just had a glass of wine but were met by a most hospitable host and bartender.
