We ate at Gather last year and loved it, so this year, we wanted to come back and bring our friends to have a good time and share our love for good food.
We made a reservation in advance and we arrived 10 minutes early since we are a big group of 11 (it takes time to wrangle all of us into cars and find parking— we would hate to be late, after all.)
Imagine our surprise when the host seemed almost annoyed that we were early and said — and I quote — “You know your reservation is at 5:15pm, right? It’s not helpful to arrive so early on such a busy day.” He then begrudgingly led us to our table, all while letting us know to “not expect our server to attend to us until our reservation time.”
This threw us off and left us with a really bad impression (all before we even sat down, mind you).
Overall, the food was good and our server was amazing. It’s just the host was horrible and really affected our experience. I definitely would rethink recommending this restaurant and bringing anyone here in the future.

Our group of 11 arrived about 5-10 minutes prior to our reservation which was at 5:15. We were greeted by the front of house “Paolo” who started off our entry with hostility by making snarky comments about how we arrived too early and that it’s affecting restaurant operations. And to top it off, he mentions that the restaurant was chaotic and that our server would not be able to provide us service until our actual reservation time - which is fine but did not feel that it needed to be mentioned.
The restaurant manager/owner needs to re-evaluate Paolo being the front of house as this is unacceptable and poor behaviour. Definitely needs training on how to provide basic customer service.
Aside from Paolo, our server was awesome and tried her best to accommodate our large group. She deserves a raise/promotion.

We had a wonderful date night at Gather, and couldn't recommend it more. Our anniversary was acknowledged upon being welcomed and we had excellent service from our server who had great knowledge of the food and drink menu and was able to provide recommendations we were very satisfied with. We had a table tucked away in the corner, near the front entrance which was wonderfully private while still allowing us to experience the vibrant ambiance and people watch through the windows. I had the tofu bibimbap bowl which included a very generous portion of my favorite fried tofu (also offered as an appetizer) and my partner had the pasta special. Our cocktails were also excellent.

We really enjoyed all the nice little touches. The welcome palate cleanser to the check coming in a box that released a nice aroma. The food was great. We tried all the signature dishes!

My husband and I went to gather for our Anniversary. It was an excellent experience. Excellent service and atmosphere. It was a fun experience. The food was amazing, we had deep fried tofu, smoked pork belly, and bibimbap bowl with prawns. We look forward to returning soon!

Absolutely fantastic dining experience. Food, ambience/decor, drinks, and service/professionalism were all top notch. As a Korean, it was simply delightful to see the chef's innovative touch and masterful blend of Korean and Italian cuisine (and not just simply adding kimchi or gochujang to everything and arguing it to be 'fusion'). I highly highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a special meal in Kelowna. Thanks again for taking such great care of us!
Food was very good! Server was olive & professional but we waited a long time for drinks & food. It took 1.5 hour from arrival time till the food arrived. They were out of the wine we ordered as well as one of the dishes we ordered. The food was very good & the portions were generous.

Once again had a spectacular dinner. Were there with out of town guests and they were super impressed. We had the pasta special, salmon and beef 'mains' and they were all full of flavour. The pasta and salmon servings were beautifully presented, the vegetables that accompanied the beef looked slightly dried out yet had flavour, particularly the roast potatoes. Great wine list on the tablet. Thank you for yet another memorable meal.

Always impressed with Gather. Food and drink is great and all the fun little "smoke shows" are entertaining! Shared some appies and they were all delicious and quite large for sharing. Drinks were tasty and the service is always on point!

I visited Gather today and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with the “manager”, Paolo.
When we asked for a table for two, he said the only option was in front of the kitchen with bunch of supplies in front of our face. I noticed most tables were empty and asked if any were available since we were only planning to stay about 40 minutes. He showed me his tablet and explained reservations, but the way he spoke for those 2 mins, was very passive aggressive, I was truly shocked.
For example, there were tables not booked until 6:30 or 7:15, yet he insisted they were unavailable, saying they were for larger parties. Instead of offering options or showing flexibility, his tone came across as rude and unaccommodating.
I decided to leave because I no longer felt comfortable dining there. Hospitality and customer service are just as important as the food, and this interaction left a very negative impression
