We were welcomed very cordially at Gather and the process of beginning to eat was very fascinating. Make sure to have an advanced reservation as it is very difficult to get a spot otherwise. However, the restaurant seems to be trapped under some false advertising. When it said “korean italian fusion food,” I expected it to actually be original fusion food but the dishes in the menu were just separate korean and italian dishes. As a result, the expectation of a unique dining experience was not met, since the same dishes can very well be found at individual korean and italian restaurants that are run by people of those cultures with better quality food at cheaper prices. The ambience was very pleasing, although very dark. I would also suggest having the expensive, foreign liquors offered in the menu so that customers are aware that they are on sale and not simply on display and interested customers can then purchase the same. As a fancy restaurant, it does not become for the customer to have to ask for the fancy stuff. Overall, good to visit this restaurant for one-time experience. only
