Went to dinner there and had the tacos. Delicious I would suggest that you go there on a Tuesday. It's the same Hugo that is in Chilliwack. Delicious food and great service! Will definitely go back!

Ordered Take away using their service “Touch Bistro” and it notified us of an order about 20 minutes later after I had gone to the restaurant. A manager told me the order was only just received now. Apparently an email is sent for order updates and when ready. I did not receive any notifications other than the original “order received” and when I arrived, the manger brought me our order. As we stay just upstairs at the Shore, we were eating within a couple minutes and let me tell you the food was like leftovers cold. Please Hugo! Get rid of this service or acknowledge it is faulty and you should have said “it has been ready for a while” Anyways, a bad experience which was disappointing. We did not finish our meals.

As a seasoned veteran of Mexican restaurants (my wife is from Mexico), I can confidently say that Hugo's Mexican Kitchen is a standout. The food here is exceptional. My Tacos de Pescado were flawless; the fish was fried to a beautiful crisp and completely grease-free. The salsas were mild yet added a wonderful depth of flavor, working in perfect harmony with the pickled onion and pico de gallo. My wife's Tacos Chicharron were equally impressive, featuring crispy, non-greasy pork. The guacamole was a definite highlight—rich and flavorful. While the horchata was a bit on the watery side and had a bit too much cinnamon on top for our taste, it's a minor flaw in an otherwise perfect meal. Those particular tacos here are highly recommended.

Ppl were super nice. Food was amazing - portions r enormous so u can js split a meal. Guac had me ascending, and the corn chips have the perfect amount of salt. Churros were also amazing. So was the horchata. Everything was so good no complaints.

We came here for dinner and loved the food. The watermelon margarita was amazing - highly recommend it. I had the tinga tacos and was surprised by the portion size - I expected them to be smaller, so a pleasant surprise when I saw how large they were. Flavour and toppings were fantastic and loved how they brought two different homemade salsas for the table. I would 100% go back (and would have the following day because I liked it that much). Will definitely return when I’m back in Kelowna.
