This place used to have the best vegan bento boxes and the most incredible iced oat milk lattes (and I hate oat milk!! Idk what they were using but it was so creamy). They recently did some renovations and were closed for a bit — I wanted to head in for lunch with my husband and called in advance to double check their menu and the guy said they don’t have vegan stuff anymore 🥲

The food was pretty good but the only thing is that all of the food was extremely salty. Service was great and the store is cute, the food was just insanely salty. The service was a little awkward? Our server was a bit awkward and when we walked in we weren't told if we could sit or not so we were just standing in the way looking at the menu by the front till we saw someone sit and apon sitting they got menus.

J's Cafe is a hidden gem in the waterfront neighborhood! This fusion cafe offers an amazing blend of Korean and North American flavors that will delight your taste buds. I recently visited with my family and we were blown away by the food.
We tried the vegetarian ramen and it was absolutely delicious - the broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. For dessert, we had the chocolate and strawberry croissant waffle with scoops of ice cream. It was the perfect balance of sweet and salty, and the texture of the waffle was heavenly.
What really makes J's Cafe stand out is its convenient location. It's just a short 5-minute walk from the beautiful lakefront, and it's right down the road from the local sports facilities. It's the perfect spot for families to refuel after a day of activities.
I highly recommend giving J's Cafe a try. The food is outstanding, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the location is unbeatable. It's easily become one of my new favorite spots in the neighborhood. Do yourself a favor and check it out!
