This place used to have the best vegan bento boxes and the most incredible iced oat milk lattes (and I hate oat milk!! Idk what they were using but it was so creamy). They recently did some renovations and were closed for a bit — I wanted to head in for lunch with my husband and called in advance to double check their menu and the guy said they don’t have vegan stuff anymore 🥲

I am writing this review as I’m eating one of the best curries I ever had. The chicken is super tender, but crispy on the outside. It is the perfect Harmony of spiciness and flavour. The owner is a very young fine man who is extremely passionate on modern fusion kitchen. I hope money people will give him a chance as his entire team is truly incredible! I would even give six stars!⭐️

My partner and I went to J’s and spent 50$ for two beef teriyaki’s (21$ each plus a drink and tips) but when we got the food, the rice was stale and dry. The teriyaki was greasy and most pieces of meat had tons of fat and just overall bad quality. I’m incredibly disappointed with our meals especially because I use to love J’s and their old menu. You can find much better quality teriyaki bowls pretty much anywhere and are typically priced better.

Great food! Dropped by for lunch before heading back towards Vancouver. The chicken skewers with the pad Thai was delicious, had a good Szechuan/ red chili flake flare to it. The beef bulgogi was also to die for.
Really big portions, and the coffees are huge too! The dalgona coffee tasted like a Vietnamese coffee.

Walked in on our way back to Vancouver for a late brunch and WOW. Totally blown away. We had the beef and cheddar egg drop and the kimchi burger. Hands down the beef and cheddar egg drop was one of the best combos of beef bulgogi and egg ever. It’s under new management and we had walked in for just a standard egg Benedict brunch and now googling where I can find similar stuff to this in Vancouver. SO glad we came in - my 7 year old (who has never had bulgogi before) just wolfed it down - will be back when we’re in town again!
