Marmalade Cat Cafe Downtown

I dropped my wife off for an appointment nearby so I stopped in for a cup of tea and to get some computer work done. I had an excellent cup of English breakfast tea. Emma was a superstar, attentive to everyone and never stopped - serving, cleaning and tidying. The place is spotless.

At the time, I didn't think accepting a DoorDash order from here could hurt so bad but it did. When I arrived I overheard a girl behind the counter saying that the croissant was missing and they'd have to let the customer know. Well, I delivered the coffee without the croissant. Two hours later I get a call from dash asking why I stole the croissant. My profits have since dropped from 35 an hour as a top dasher to 15 an hour and I now have to take photos of every order. It's a very good thing that my personal business took off or you'd have put a new dad out of work. What a lazy, narcissistic, and snobby thing to do.

7 a.m. opening? Arrived 9:30 for breakfast. No cook! Had to wait 20 plus minutes for food. Toaster waffles, cold butter, tired fruit, limp toast.

We ordered thru Uber, the paper liner melted, mixed and dyed our scrambled egg. Extremely unsafe.

On top of that the toast were extremely burnt. I'm pretty sure someone noticed they burnt the toast but flipped it and still decided to send it with the order.

Toast was placed inside the box flipped over on the side that's not burnt when we got the order. Funny. I hope the management sees this.

This is not okay and a big food safety issue.

Online ordering through Cafe website does not work and staff were unaware of my fully-paid order when I arrived to pick it up. Although they were apologetic, did not seem too concerned that their system is faulty.

As for the food, it was just OK. I had a breakfast bagel, which was advertised as multigrain on the menu, but in reality was plain white and remarkably similar to a Dempsters bagel from the grocery store. I had asked for no butter as one of the available preferences from ill-fated online order system, but was advised this was not possible as the sandwich was pre-made. The bacon on the sammy was good but it and the egg were lukewarm.

Latte was fine but I was put off by the rest of the experience.

The BLT croissant was perfect!

I look forward to visiting Marmalade Cat Cafe every time we visit Kelowna. It's a cute cafe with yummy food and coffee and they are good with dietary restrictions

The meal was amazing, my wife and I both had a breakfast wrap and could not get over the flavor and taste. Service was quick and friendly and atmosphere was like sitting in the kitchen I grew up in. Excellent all around.
