New Empress Chinese Cuisine

I ordered twice a couple years ago after they first opened and thought the food was terrible. Their sweet and sour sauce tasted like metal and overall their food was greasy and didn’t look or taste fresh. I tried their food again yesterday and they have improved!! Ordered the sweet and sour pork with chicken chow mein and both were delicious! The owner lady was lovely as well. I’ll definitely order from them again.

This is our ‘go to’ place for Chinese quisine. The food is consistently very good. It’s not really set up for dining in. Great for takeout.

Empress Chinese Restaurant is a standout new addition to Kelowna’s dining scene. The food was exceptionally fresh, served piping hot, and clearly prepared with care and quality ingredients. Every dish arrived promptly and was full of flavour.

The service truly elevated the experience—the lady who assisted us was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, which made the visit feel personal and well-run.

If you’re looking for consistently fresh food, excellent service, and a restaurant that delivers on quality, Empress Chinese Restaurant is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommended

This place is fantastic! Every dish I've tried- I've loved! Hats off to the passion of the kitchen staff, and the front of house staff for a always welcoming, friendly and delicious experience.

We ordered from this restaurant through Skip App. The restaurant took 1 hour to prepare and send the food and when it got here, the taste was awfull. It tasted like old soy oil. Also, we had ordered deep fried prawns and instead of that they sent something else I couldn’t identify. Terrible experience! I will never order from this restaurant again. It was the worst Chinese food I had in Kelowna!

Don’t pay attention to the negative comments, this place is a must try. The food is full of flavor, great quality, generous portions, and very reasonable for the price. I ordered the combo for one, and the owner was kind enough to let me swap in items not on the set menu. I went with the ginger beef, fried rice, and cashew gai ding, everything was so good. Was plenty leftover to take home. Highly recommended!

Do not order Chinese food from here. Probably the worst Chinese food experience we have ever had. Ginger beef was hard as rock … sauce was like glue … chow-mein is supposed to have sprouts, genuine chow-mein noodles … and vegetables … we got hard noodles - not cooked very well … boiled disgusting chicken … it was like bad pasta night in little China … the pot sticks were gross … not pork dumplings 🥟… even the emoji is more appealing as to what we’re supposed to put in our mouths … super bad - super bad experience …! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE - SAVE YOURSELVES! SAVE YOUR MONEY … oh ya … the lady said when we called to complain … “you just don’t like the way I cook” … no I said “you just can’t cook.” AND IT SMELT SUPER DISGUSTING 🤮 IN THE RESTAURANT

The food was great for a late night Chinese dinner run the fried rice was seasoned well think dark fish sauce added. Over all would definitely go again as it wasn’t greasy.
