The best staff. So accommodating and the recommendations were superb!

First time here for our anniversary dinner ❤️.. it was a Wednesday evening we did have a reservation that I made online and it wasn't very busy we sat outside by the water and it was so beautiful it would have been nice to have a roller shade down to cover from the son of it but the ambiance was amazing.
I have the steak frites there was a bit of fat on the stake of course and the fries were okay. My husband loved his steak sandwich and the calamari were perfectly crispy.
Jade our server was excellent 👌🏼
I think we will go back again.

This was our first visit here. We decided to take our out of town guests here for dinner. We were seated at least 20 minutes before we were served some water. In our section our waitress was hardly around compared to the opposite section. Very slow service. A guy at the table next to us got up and got his own drink. We found the prices to be very expensive for what you get. I ordered a Steak Sandwich and asked for 1/2 salad and 1/2 fries but was told they couldn't do that. They seemed to have a limited bar as a few of the drinks we asked for , they didn't have? My steak sandwich had the top and bottom of the bun and a few slices of steak in the middle and fries. Not a decent steak on half a bun as we were used to , like pub food. The coffee was Very strong and a pot was left at the table (so she didn't have to come back I suppose). Great atmosphere , but sure expected something different when we walked in. We were very disappointed .

I honestly didn’t expect a hotel stay to turn into one of the most memorable experiences of my trip, but the Delta Okanagan Grand completely delivered.
From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Rahul and Zeph at the front desk were warm, welcoming, and made everything feel effortless. You can tell they genuinely care about guests having a great experience.
But the real standout for me was what happened at the restaurant. My friend jokingly mentioned a Japanese omelette, and to my surprise, Mitchell, the sous chef, immediately stepped up and offered to make it. I wasn’t expecting much beyond a fun attempt, but he absolutely nailed it. It was delicious and honestly felt like something you’d get at a specialty spot.
What really stuck with me, though, was what happened after. Mitchell came by our table later to check in and asked if we had just arrived or were heading out. When we mentioned we were leaving, he went out of his way to send us off with treats for the road. That level of thoughtfulness is rare and made a lasting impression.
This wasn’t just great service, it was genuine hospitality. Huge thanks to Rahul, Zeph, and especially Mitchell for making our stay so special. I’ll absolutely be back.

Shoutout to whoever was the host this evening, very personable, friendly and accommodating. Food was fantastic, service could do with a touch up but I would recommend.

We went here Monday at 5:15 for early dinner before concert. We had a reservation waited 10 minutes to be sat down. 15 minutes later ordered drinks. 45 minutes later still no drinks asked someone if they forgot us. Nope just busy sorry. 1 hour later finally received our beer. 1 hour and 30 minutes later finally got our dinner order. Was so disappointed I doubt I would ever go back. The worst service I have ever had

Sharing a first time experience at Oak & Cru, generally my wife and I plus many friends have enjoyed sitting at the Bar and enjoying drinks and food. Yesterday was not that time, from the moment we sat down it was a different vibe...waited 20 mins before the bartender even looked our way, then he took our drink order and decided to serve someone who came in after us. A further 10 mins and still no drinks not even water....we left. Oak & Cru if you are listening...hire another bartender and get some help behind the bar, there are too many choices in downtown Kelowna, we found one and it wasn't Oak & Cru. Do better!

I only stopped here for a glass of wine on the patio.

The major plus here is the fact that the patio has a beautiful view.

This restaurant is inside the Delta hotel. So you have to walk through the foyer of the hotel to get to it. Not a big deal just letting you know.

The patio is big and pretty lovely. However, there isn’t a whole lot of shade. There are umbrellas, but not enough for everybody. I was seated directly in the sun. Which I didn’t mind because it was a beautiful day. However, it became so hot and I was sweating and it kind of made it uncomfortable. And I am someone who can handle high heat.

I heard other guests commenting that they wanted to find some shade as well.

There was a mess on the floor, where I was sitting. Which I accidentally put my foot into. So that wasn’t very pleasant.

The wine selection was good. I asked the server to suggest an Okanagan wine. She did recommend a Syrah. After I had told her that I prefer a more bold wine. When I got the wine, I was sort of disappointed I didn’t find it very bold it was OK.

In looking around the food, all looked pretty expected for a social kitchen type setting. Nothing really stood out as overly unique.

I did hear the servers apologizing to people for the wait.

I did have to wait quite a bit of time for my glass of wine as well. And they didn’t seem all that busy.

Once I was done my wine, I was very sweaty and tired of baking in the sun. But my server wasn’t coming around to bring my bill. I went up to the bar and asked if I could settle up and they said no.

The gentleman was nice though, and he did go find my server for me. She was pleasant enough when she came around to help me with my bill.

When I go back for a drink with friends? Maybe. Based off of the dishes I saw around would I go there for dinner? No.

For a hotel restaurant, I could not say enough good things. The food and service were fantastic and the patio outside is a perfect setting. I’ll also add that the potion sizes were much larger than expected. Definitely worth trying.

Was extremely disappointed with my lunch at oak + cru after being really excited to try after seeing positive reviews. I ordered the pork belly bao buns and the bao bun was extremely bad. Dense, mushy, and wet, the buns had pan and finger printbmarks visible, and they completely fell apart on the plate. Secondly, ordered the fish tacos, and the pieces of fish were over breaded and incredibly small. I actually saw someone nearby also order them and the fish looked bigger so for whatever reason I was short changed. They were completely overpriced for such a small amount of fish. My server was great and the deck is a great place, but unfortunately the food does not hold up.
