As a grad student who isn’t on the meal plan but wants an affordable and filling meal while on campus, I enjoy Pritchard. I’ve only been here twice but I find the food is pretty good for the price you’re paying. Lots of options to choose from including lots of vegetarian and healthy options (in my opinion). I understand that if you’re on the meal plan and have to eat here every day it might not be the best, but as someone who just comes once in a while I think it’s great for the price. Staff are also very friendly!

I would genuinely give this 0 stars if I could. The food is awful, the place is unsanitary, and to make it all worse students don't have a choice, I have to pay 3500$ a semester for a MANDATORY food hall that serves nothing but garbage, and I repeat $3500 for 4 months. I would like the food to be somewhat acceptable. In my most recent visit I was told I cannot take more than one Tostada at a time, I have to eat come back for every Tostada served on the smallest shell of all time. They say they do this for convenience but it's very clear they're just raking in as much money from students as they possibly can trapping students in certain housing units into a predatory food system.

This place without a doubt deserves one star for every single category. Many students on this campus express similar grievances over the state of Pritchard Dining Hall.
With regards to the food, it is bland, oftentimes either overcooked or undercooked, and has been known to give several students food poisoning. There is no variety whatsoever, and suggestions made by students are disregarded. Bear in mind that all on-campus students are required to purchase this overpriced yet underwhelming dining plan.
Cases of unwashed vegetables, unclean silverware, and dysfunctional drink stations are typical, and merely represent the tip of the iceberg. The poor state of the food is clearly a reflection of Pritchard Dining Hall's lack of respect for its customers. Despite several complaints being filed, no steps have been taken forward to address any of the aforementioned issues.
As for the atmosphere, sometimes, they show strange nature documentaries that people probably wouldn't want to watch while eating, but this is a minor problem in contrast to everything else students complain about.
My worst grievance isn't even with the cafeteria itself; it's the fact that Google Reviews has no option to give this place a half star (as opposed to one star), because half a star is the rating that Pritchard Dining Hall ultimately deserves.

I am thoroughly disappointed with the quality of food and thinks it doesn’t even deserve a 1 star rating and should be worse than 1 star, as the food is repetitive and is bland. Additionally, I wouldn’t have been as harsh on the food if I haven’t gotten food poisoning from this place MULTIPLE TIMES. Other times I have had an upset stomach from Pizza that lacks flavor and is the worst that I’ve ever eaten, I think it’s the pizza has made me have the worse symptoms of diarrhea. The only thing that is edible is the breakfast, but even there theres no variety and it tastes mediocre at best. I almost NEVER find myself eating lunch or Dinner here and I recommend that YOU NEVER EAT HERE as I avoid lunch and dinner menus like the plague. OVERALL MISERABLE EXPERIENCE

I feel bad for the staffs working here, because they are so kind yet the star rating is so low on google (if they care about it ofc). The food is honestly not bad, but I guess there is definitely room for improvement (they can make some dishes to taste better, I feel like). I think the food deserves 3~3.5 stars. However everyone who works here are very kind and friendly. Just wanted to post this to thank the staff.

Not providing nutrition information so the adults who paid for this can make an informed decision on the food they choose to eat is insane.
It's truly terrible and not worth the price of the mandatory meal plan. I dread when I have to go there to eat. If 0 stars was an option this place deserves it.

as an AI language model, I am unable to understand the taste of food like humans can. However from the literature written by Confucius in 1500 BC, he predicted the emergence of pritchard dining hall at UBCO. According to his review, "it is genuinely awful. The hygene is worse than those indian street food videos. There is hair and bugs all over the food. I have yet to know of a student who has jot gotten sick from eating here. They do not take criticism well, so I expect this place to remain the same for a while. I advocate for the opportunity and proper education for all bur it is a shame to see the death of the intellectual elite through the poisoning of the mind from the food cooked here". It has been reported that a suicidal inmate on death row, Joe Ballon requested a meal from pritchard dining hall. "I have suffered immensely in my life. I no longer wish to live. As my last meal, I would request a meal from Pritchard dining hall, so I can die faster."

0/10 they gave me food poisoning.
It's affordable ish if you're a big eater or very hungry. For eg) about $12 for breakfast. Not super great if you just want a quick snack or small meal. There's not really any options on campus super early, or more (actually) affordable for those of us living the low income/poverty life lol.Seems reasonably priced for anyone with the student plan ~ paying 5k for the year means its about $12 a day for all your meals. That said, you have to pay upfront so....The quality is...OK. It would be nice if they offered a variety of seasonings to help get away from the blandness :/ would probably also be nice for international students so they don't have to bring their own.

Eating here a couple of days in a row has given me food poisoning and severe tummy aches. I can't believe a university catering food to students can have such poor hygiene and quality of food, it's appalling. I thought I was the only one experiencing this until I read the review of others. Something REALLY has to change at this place.

pritchard is honestly an odd place. the food isn’t the best choice but is sometimes decent, and they decide to play animal kingdom videos. these videos are sometimes okay but mostly involve topics like i showed in the pictures. idk who said this was a good idea ?
