Spearhead Winery in Kelowna is gorgeous, local winery that has a relaxing, classy, European feel to it. I am not a wine drinker, but my wife is and I used to go with her for moral support (😆). My wife adored their wine and actually joined their wine club, as she enjoyed their wines that much. We lived in Kelowna for years, visited all of the wineries there and this is the only membership that she purchased while we lived there.
For myself, I really enjoyed the feel of the place and hanging out while my wife enjoyed their wine. It is a lovely spot, from the lavender bushes, to the stone work, gazebos, tables and umbrellas all set in the vineyards. A lot of thought has been put into the look of this winery and it is certainly unique in Kelowna.
The staff was super friendly and helpful and made us really feel at home. We came to some of their events as well and took our family here when they were in town and everyone was impressed. There is also an event spot in the back.
It is certainly a very special, local winery with a great family feel to it. Check it out!
My husband I are from Kelowna but we have never visited Spearhead winery. We were so pleasantly surprised with this little winery. The wine and the atmosphere was fantastic. It’s child and dog friendly as well. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

If you like Pinot Noir wine, this is the winery for you. We enjoyed a wine tasting here in September. The staff were friendly, and we enjoyed our tasting on their patio. It was a warm summers day, and we enjoyed their wine.

Server was friendly and knowledgeable. I did all 4 of their available Pinot Noirs and the Rose. Rose was pretty good. I wasn't a fan of the 2021 Coyote, but the other 3 were very good ... and different from each other. I enjoyed it.

When people come for a summer tasting, most of us are on vacation, seeking more than just good wine—we're looking for a memorable experience. Cal not only knows the history of the wines but also weaves captivating stories that make you feel like a part of that history. His storytelling truly elevated our experience.
We did some tastings elsewhere, but nothing compared to what we found at Spearhead. The wine is fantastic, but it was Cal's storytelling that convinced us to take some home.

Years ago when I was still breaking into Hospitality, the owner of Earl's Restaurants put me on as a door host. Had me memorize the entire menu (plates & ingredients), and then told me story after story about each element of their food service. Told me to "romance the food and the service will follow". It stuck with me and 30 years later, we were served by Cal from Calgary at the Spearhead Winery. He is 100% who I wanted to be! Knew his grapes, knew his notes, and definitely knew his stories! Now I'm not an experienced wine drinker or tourist, but I fully appreciated everything he did for us at this award-winning winery. From introducing each wine to giving us just enough time to sip, enjoy, and prepare for the next delivery, I was blown away by our visit. Turns out he's returned three summers for this gig. We bought a couple of bottles and I'm looking forward to stealing a couple of his stories when we have friends over. Great job Cal, great job Spearhead! Absolutely worth the visit!
