A group of us went to Spearhead for a birthday celebration this past weekend and we had the pleasure of having Jenny as our host. Her passion and knowledge was very evident and I actually learned something. The wine and hospitality were top tier. Thank you Jenny!!
Jenny at SpearHead made sure our tasting was special! She was so friendly, fun, and thorough. She gave us actual tasting tips as we went through the wines, and she was personally very excited to be there speaking about the wines. Her personality and passion were infectious and we had an amazing time. 15/20 experience. Not to mention, the wines were delicious as well. Highly recommend.
Spearhead is a small winery with big success. In 29024, they won NWAC honors as best small winery, AND best winery in Canada. They followed this up with #3 rated small winery in 2025 Awards.
Unfortunately they lost all their vines in the cold snap in January 2024. They have replanted but it will be 6-7 years before they can begin to harvest their own crops. A neighbouring winery was not impacted at all.
