We visited in the afternoon and were told that we didn't need to make a reservation as there was plenty of availability. When we phoned to double-check, we were told there was no availability. It appears that there is a lack of motivation and/or communication.

We came there to celebrate my friend 50th bday I booked it at 5pm on a Friday night and when we get there we are the 1st one dining in so we were very happy! Lol all because we don't have to worry being loud.lol our server was very nice and she made the night more special by talking to us giving us the best experience! Excellent work ethic..! We did enjoyed our cocktail night there. Thank you!:)
A beautiful winery lunch experience, with attentive & helpful staff, gorgeous views of Lake Okanagan, and tasty food. This is our second outing to Mission Hill Winery & we will be back.
We reserved an "outdoors" seat for a sunny summer evening, not knowing that "outdoors" is actually a sweltering greenhouse with no ventilation and blazing direct sun. Lowering the sunscreens blocks off the only ventilation, the open windows. It's really a ridiculous setting for outdoors seating, the few people there were pouring sweat by the buckets. We asked for an indoor seat and were readily and graciously transferred inside. The service was prompt and cheerful, but I felt like I was at Moxie's or the Keg, with lithe young waitresses in tight black attire and huge in-your-face grins, not the sort of discreet service I would prefer in a high end restaurant. But then, this wasn't really a high-end restaurant. The food was good, but not particularly creative or original, with some odd pairings (e.g. a sweet citrus buerre blanc with salmon, the sweetness was off-putting). Serving sizes were on the tiny side, we went to the Marble Slab after to fill up. And prices were on the higher end, though not outrageous. In all, a somewhat mediocre experience in what I thought would be a high-end restaurant. The best part of the whole meal was the glass of Chardonnay I had with it.... that was absolutely sumptuous.
We started with a wine tasting followed with a restaurant, we were also a large group; and they had some rude old servers which weren't as pleasing; didn't even asked for water; so end up getting up and leaving.
We were six people at a table that had the fire option. It made for a crowded service. The food was very good. I think vegan calamari is not calamari. It was ok but might need another name. I was extremely disappointed to be served the 2020 Cab Franc for $51 then see it inside for $32. We were prepared to wine pair and really enjoy a variety but it wasn't encouraged or on the menu. After dinner we bought a few items and no one would serve us until we flagged down someone on the floor. Overall, I was surprised. It wasn't overly busy but to expect someone to handle wine tasting guests and the people trying to buy wine and other items isn't a good option. No one gets good service. Staff accordingly.
The open air terrace provided amazing views of the lake and vineyard and we were able to watch the sun set as we enjoyed their wine and entrees. It's a small menu but the quality was amazing. The service was excellent and they were well informed of their menu and wine pairings. Would highly recommend this restaurant!
We were very disappointed. Restaurant was 1/4 full but reception was slow to greet us. It took a long time for the server to take our order and for the food to arrive. My husband ordered the expensive beef entree. It was supposed to have truffle flavor but he couldn't taste any. And he found a long hair in his food! We had out of town guests with us so we're very disappointed with the entire experience. We will not be back.
Great view and great location. We’ve been meaning to try out the restaurant for a couple years. We had a reservation for 6:00 but it wouldn’t have been required as the restaurant was not busy. Our server was great considering she was the only server on shift but she didn’t upsell anything or even talk about the wines which we were expecting. Our food took over an hour to come out and while mine was good (the salmon) my wife’s mushroom ravioli was very underwhelming. It’s obvious this restaurant is lacking staff but looking at the venue, it’s also odd that no one wants to work here? Also, please install some ceiling fans on the patio! It was very very hot and there was no air moving all of our dinner.

A little under staffed but everyone was wonderful and the food was great. The staff did their best to keep things flowing even though they clearly need more staff. Would go again for sure.

The ambiance and view of the restaurant is spectacular. It looked really amazing specially because we went for dinner right in time for the sunset. We were there for a 7:15 reservation and food was served 9pm already. The steak i ordered was medium rare but the plate had blood surrounding the entire food. They did the nice thing to not let me pay for it and had it to go. I appreciated the manager explaining they had a change of menu 2days prior that's why their kitchen was still figuring things out. What would have been better was for them to let people know as they are being seated instead of making people wait until they complain to try and pacify things. I would recommend to go see the winery and but wine but i'd have second thoughts of actually eating at the restaurant.
Honestly, this place has amazing views but lacks experienced staff, as well as quality wine and menu options. Tourists will keep visiting regardless because they don’t know better, but I doubt locals will give it a shot more than once. The new menu dropped today, and misses the mark on so many levels. Sorry, but $30 for a green salad? Also, what’s advertised on their website isn’t honoured in house, for example, their happy hour times. Finally, there aren’t a lot of shareable options if you’re not into faux-meat dishes. Hopefully some of these issues are resolved quickly, but there are better, less touristy wineries to visit in kelowna.
We came to the restaurant after the 11AM wine tasting tour and we were told to wait for 1hr for a table which was odd, seeing how the restaurant was mostly empty... After being seated at 2:00PM we were given warm/ambient temperature water and left unattended for about 30 minutes until the server came to get our order. From our table of 6, 5 of us ordered the beef bourguignon. We then waited for what I believe was close to 10 minutes when the server came back to let us know they were out of beef bourguignon... How does a restaurant with only 5 main course options runs out of beef? We didn't like any of the other menu options, so we headed to Brookside Grill and got a much better and faster service with many tasty menu options.

One hour waiting to get a table then +30min to get someone to get our orders. After 15 minutes, they say came out and said that they didn’t have the mains plate that we ordered (beef) .The restaurant was almost empty, which doesn’t make sense to not have one of the four main plates.

Very nice view on the lake. However, please no punk or party music on the patio of this beautiful Vineyard estate. That doesn’t match too great wine and chilled moments.
